Calypso

Calypso screamed as Leo grabbed her and threw them off Festus.

"Leo! What are you doing!?" She screamed.

"Calm down Sunshine, I have a plan! This is the machine I flew down to your island on! We'll be fine!!"

"If I recall correctly, it blew up halfway down, and unlike you, I AM NOT FIREPROOF!!!" Calypso screamed back. She wondered if her immortallity would protect her if anything went wrong, but she really didn't want to test that.

As they plunged to their death, Leo furiously fiddled with the device, and suddenly the blades began to spin faster and faster.

"YES!!" He screamed, as they soared over the plain and landed, well, crashed, on the grass. "WHO'S YOUR GENIUS REPAIR BOY NOW!!!!"

Calypso laughed. "I'm not going to answer that, but seriously Leo? Thanks. Leo laughed, and then pulled her in for a kiss. Calypso willingly obliged. When they finally broke apart, she said, "Oh gods I love you Leo! I can't believe you actually got me off Ogygia!!"

Leo smiled that devilish grin of his, "Of course I did, you are the only girl I ever fell in love with who actually loved me back! How could I not come back for you!?" Calypso frowned, "Wait, you liked other girls?" Leo realised his mistake and quickly tried to backpedal. "I mean, I only thought they were hot, I mean just on appearences, I didn't really like them, hey you liked other guys too..."

Calypso cut him off. "Leo its fine, I was kidding. Now, do you have any idea where we are?" Leo shrugged. "From the landscape, I'm guessing were somewhere in central United States. Come on, let's go find Festus"

With a pang, Calypso realised how worried Leo was about Festus, and chided herself for not noticing earlier. "Yes, let's go find him, I'm sure he's fine."

Leo and Calypso started walking toward a pillar of smoke they saw rising in the sky about a mile away. As they truggged through the fields, Calypso studied the boy who had stolen her heart for good. It certainly wasn't his looks that attracted him to her, with his scrawny frame and elf-like features, he looked like he could come from a movie he told her about. No, his actions and words was what had made her fall in love with him. He was the only hero who came back for her, and given her a second thought.

"Hey Calypso," Leo started to grin. "I think I see our ride out of here!"

He began to run toward the bronze lump that was giving off smoke. As they got nearer, Calypso breathed a sigh of relief. The damage on the dragon wasn't nearly as bad as she had originally feared. Apart from the wing that was about 200 yards away, the dragon was mostly intact, the only problem being the fused-together underbelly which had caught fire midflight.

"Festus, my dragon! How are you feelin' man?" Leo bombared his dragon. Calypso heared the dragon wirring his teeth and making clattering noises. Leo grinned. "You did great bud, and the wing looks like a clean break so we can put it right back on."

"So we can get going soon?" Calypso asked.

"Absolutely sunshine" Leo replied, just help me drag his wing back over and I can reattach it quick"

As the couple dragged the wing back to the body, Calypso heard wailing noises in the distance. " Leo, what is that?" Leo looked up and swore. "Oh gods, that's the police! They must have noticed the smoke!" Calypso frowned "What are 'police'?"

"They are the guys who enforce the law and try to help, but I really don't have time for them right now!" Leo exclaimed. "So they are mortal?" Calypso asked. "Yeah they're mortal," Leo replied. "Then leave them to me," said Calypso.

She waited until she could see a figue approaching in the distance, and then she ran up to it. "Oh my gods," she exclaimed, "I am so sorry! I lit a fire and it got out of control, so I poured water on it until it went out!" As she talked, Calypso wove magic into her voice, manipulating the mist until the 'Police Officer' saw exactly what she was describing: A couple of blackened areas of grass causing the smoke.

"Oh, Ok then," the officer said. He was a big burly man, with a weak mind, Claypso reflected. "I guess I will just leave now." He continued.

Calypso worked more magic. "You can forget this ever happened."

The mortal wandered off, mumbling to himself. Calypso walked back to Leo. "The police are gone," she reported.

Leo's eyes widened. "Geez, I'm impressed! In my experience, they never leave you alone! What did you do to him?"

Calypso told him about the magic she worked. "You have got to teach me that," Leo replied. He brushed off his hands and stood up.

"I did a quick repair job, so we are ready for flight. I want to put down somewhere close so I can do a complete fix, but this should get us off the ground for now. New York here we come!!"
