-Photon region-

John sighed as he waited for his blond haired friend Chris. Chris was, as usual, late. Really late. And, well, John was used to all the waiting. But today was different. Today was special. Today was their big day, the day when he and Chris would receive their first pokemon from the region's professor, prof. Jacob. Anyway, enough with the daydreaming. He was going to go in and get Chris. He didn't want them to be the last ones there, but they probably were going to be last anyway. He couldn't imagine anyone else going this late. He headed inside the two-story old-style building, nearly colliding with Chris's frantic mother.

"oh my! Oh my! Company is coming and I'm not prepared!"

John sighed. Chris's mom was always like this. He walked up the hardwood stairs, carefully avoiding the large mess on both sides, including: toys, tools, and even some kitchen utensils. He wondered vaguely how he was going to wake up his friend, but to his surprise, Chris was already awake.

Well, mostly. John grabbed his friend and dragged him down the stairs, upsetting the mess on both sides while doing so.

"Ugh." groaned Chris, staggering to his feet while grabbing his backpack which was right beside the door. He hurriedly waved goodbye to his mom, who tiredly waved back while sweeping debris of a couch, and raced out the door right behind John. Together, they raced down a steep hill, on a thin street bordering a dense forest. The easiest part would be going there, if they had to go back for whatever reason, it would be the forest they would use. When they got to the small laboratory, they headed inside as quickly as they could, without knocking. (of course) The partially bald Prof. Jacob turned from his work at their approach, an odd look on his face. The two noticed five marble pedestals, on which the missing red-and-white spheres known as pokeballs once were...

How did you like it? Do you think Chris and John will manage to snag their first pokemon?
