Execution Part 3

I turn around to see Rainer holding a gun against the back of Chris's head. My heart drops. Fuck. Rainer gestures at me to put my weapons on the floor. I shake my head. He smirks and moves the gun towards Emersyn. I step in front of her with my hands up.

"Okay!.okay" I roll my eyes. I take off all of my gear

"Carver...don't." I hear Emersyn whisper

"What are you doing here." Rainer asks getting visibly pissed

"You know why I'm here. I came for Emersyn." I stand tall.

"You need to leave." He looks away

"You know I can't do that. Look. I'll let you live, just let Chris and I take Emersyn home." I push

He lets out a laugh

"Last I checked I'm the one with the gun pointed at your supposedly pregnant girlfriend" he snorts

"Rainer you're being stupid. You know even though I don't have a weapon, I can and will kill you. That's why you're not man enough to put the gun down and fight me." I shrug

He laughs and throws the gun to the ground and rips his shirt off. Perfect.

He dangles a set of keys in the air and put them on chair in the corner of the room.

"If you can get past me, these are the keys to Emersyns chains. But, you better work quickly because in approximately 6 minutes my right hand is going to set the warehouse on fire." He smirks holding his fists up.

Chris takes his shirt off and puts his hands up. He's fuming.

"Down boy" I stare him down. No way in hell is he putting his hands on my little brother.

"Stay with Emersyn, Chris." I nod towards her

"I love you carver..." she whispers just loud enough to give me an adrenaline rush. I remind myself. She's carrying my baby. I have to save her...both of them.

Rainer comes up quickly, but I'm quicker. He throws a punch and dodge it, tackling him to the group. I straddle him and punch him. Again, and again, and again. He shoves me off of him and pulls a knife from his jeans. It's never a clean fight with this asshole. He wants to play dirty? Cool, me too. I pull my knife from waistband and his eyes grow wide.

"What? Didn't think I'd play dirty like you?" I scoff

"Doesn't matter. You're all dead." He lunges at me

The knife scrapes my side but blood pours. Emersyn screams from behind me. I glance back and Chris has her wrapped into his arms. I nod towards the chair and Chris winks. He's about to grab the keys when another knife flies through the air.

"Chris!!!!" Emersyn screams

He drops to the floor and stands back up. The knife is imbedded in the wall. He yanks the keys and runs toward Emersyn. Then I smell it. Smoke. Rainer has a grin spread across his face. Fuck.

I throw another punch and it sends him flying into the wall. Chris struggles with the keys to unlock Emersyn and he has asthma.

"Go Chris! I'll meet you in the van! Get out of here!" I yell at him

He shakes his head.

"Go! Now!" I yell again

"Chris please go, I'll be okay. Carver won't let anything happen to me or our baby." She pushes him

"Okay! Fine!" He takes off running

He tosses the keys over his shoulder to me. Smoke starts to fill the room. Emersyn starts violently coughing. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

I fumble with the keys and finally find the ones for her hands and feet. I just need to find one for her waist. It's getting almost too cloudy and my eyes start to burn.

"It's no use carver! Get out of here before you die!" She cries

"No. Fuck no." I shake my head.

"Carver...you will die here...please just go." She cries to me

"I'm not leaving you and our baby here Emersyn. It's not happening." I shake my head

I hear coughing and remember I knocked Rainer out cold. I run over to him and start throwing punches.

"Where's the other key!" I yell

"I gave them to you!" He groans

"No! For her waist! Where is it?!" I punch him again

"Okay! Okay! It's in my pocket." He gasps for air

I'm done with this shit. I pick up the gun and plant 2 bullets in his head. I run back over to Emersyn. She's unconscious. Fuck

I get her chains off and carry her quickly outside. She's definitely pregnant her belly is all swollen and bloated. Chris pulls up and helps me get her into the van and we head to the hospital.
