A Deadly Call

Chapter 1: The First Call to Kill

In a town of less than 2,800 a murder is weird to hear of but did the citizens of Ravenwood know that this was the first of many. The first call was on Saturday May 16, 2020 at exactly 5:00 pm the great Mayor Matthews of Ravenwood would be called and then 2 minutes later be shot in to head. Later that day his assistant would call the police to call in the murder. My dad the sheriff of Ravenwood for 10 years has been called in to investigate the murder of Mayor Matthews. My dad sheriff Lewis said that this is the first death he's seen in 9 years.

Yet across town a young Jade Myers is jamming out to Avenged Sevenfold's "Hail to the king" while she fixes her flat tire on her motorcycle in her garage. As her step dad and mom scream at each other in the living room. She fixes her tire she decides to jump on Harley and give her a good ride through town she drives right past the town hall seeing that something big has happened so she calls a friend for a question.
My phone rings I answer
Jefferson: Yeeeellow?
Jade: Hey what the fuck happened?
Jefferson: Well the Mets have won the World Series um the stocks are down by-
Jade: Cut the shit Jay!
Jefferson: Well.. there may or may not be a murder investigation going on at town hall.
Jade: who got murdered?
Jefferson: Mayor Matthews weirdly enough.
Jade: Can you give me any info from the man above?
Jefferson: God?
Jade: Damn it's actually funny how dumb you are sometimes.
Jefferson: I know who but the answer is no nothing to be heard from the great oracle.
Jade: Why am I friends with your weird ass?
Jefferson: Because you love me!
Jade: Keep me updated. Bye.
So at this point my murder mystery hunger best friend is looking for a fix. My dads searching for murderer it has been along day.

I hear my dads vehicle turning off of mainland avenue into our driveway. I quickly grab my blue hat and open my door I slide down the stairs railing to meet my dad at the door. He walks in and puts his hat up and sighs I ask "So are we going out for dinner" my moms been dead for 3 years she died due to a robbery gone bad. She moved wrong and the robber got nervous and shot her in the stomach she bled out. So once a month me and my dad go out to eat. He said we couldn't due to the murder case. So I sat down and asked if I could help he said "Call Jade she might want to help" so I run up to my room and I called Jade saying "Wanna work on a murder case? With some food?" She replied with "I can't parents are fighting again" alright so she never helped I got back down stairs and my dads asleep. The next day is when it got crazy.
