After all, you had to be crazy to do that. To steal a gun, to aim it at someone's head, to shoot it in front of witnesses. JJ had to be crazy for that, right?
Sonny was in disbelief.
She watched the tourons scatter like field mice, running in every direction as JJ stormed to shore, but her eyes flickered, landing on where the Pogues now banded in a circle. Hands quick, Pope shoved JJ violently, more violently than anybody had ever seen Heyward's son act before.
Nobody went to stop him, though. In fact Kiara was next, smacking JJ in his middle, cussing him out.
JJ stumbled, swatted them back.
"You idiot!" Kiara's face was red, "Stupid!"
"Why do that?" Pope hissed.
"Back off!"
"Why, JJ?" Pope ignored JJ's words, shaking his head. Safe to say he was disappointed. Angry, even. "We were laying low! He's not even worth it!"
