“What?!  Akala ko wala nang ganito?”  Tinignan niya ako.  “Hindi ko na nga tinanggap yung una tapos dinagdagan mo pa ng kotse?” Again, she is wearing her emotions on her face.  How can someone be like a great actress like hers?  She is unusual.  She gets tensed when money is involved.

“Everyone wants  a brand new car.” Sabi ni Iñaki.

“Hindi ako marunong mag-drive!” Sigaw niya.

“George,” I said.  “You don’t have to shout.  All right, if you won’t accept this, I might have to double it.” Lalo siyang mamutla.

“That is unfair!” she whailed.

“Paano naging unfair ang nakalagay sa clause?” I asked calmly.

“Sobrang mahal ko naman!”  she exclaimed.  She took the paper and pointed something out.  “Bibigyan mo pa ako ng kotse, eh hindi ako marunong mag-drive?  Ayoko niyan.  Tama na sa akin ang 2.5 million na hiningi ko.  Ayoko ng ten million.  Alisin mo rin ang allowance at kung anu-ano pa.  Isa pa, bakit mo bibilin ang bahay ko at itatago ang titulo?”

“So I keep you until our bargain will last.”

She looked hurt at my response.  I just want to make sure.

“George—”

“No, okay lang.  I gave you my word, but I think that one is acceptable.  I guess I have to say yes—but no cars, no allowance, not ten million but 2.5 million.  Okay na ba tayo dun?”

“No.  Accept the deal—or I will double it, George,” I said firmly.

She sighed and looked at me with daggers in her eyes.  “Fine.” Kinuha niya ang paper at tinignan ang deal namin.

Napatawa si Iñaki sa amin.  “You know among the fake couples—you two are the most realistic.  Sign here, Miss George.”  She signed but she was mumbling something while signing the contract.

And that sealed our agreement.
