Thalia VII

I'm gone for two weeks and the commander of Chaos's army shows up at camp. There are some downsides with being a Hunter.

The moment I walked into Zeus's cabin I knew something was different. The place was a mess and Jason's legs were sticking out of the storage cabinet in the wall behind dad's head.

"Jason! What are you doing?" I exclaimed.

Jason startled and hit his head on the ceiling of the cabinet.

"Thalia don't do that," he complained as he floated down to the floor.

"This place is a mess. You've only been here a day and the place is worse than the Hermes Cabin."

"It is not," he said defensively.

I crossed my arms and smirked at him.

"It is not," he said crossing his arms.

I grabbed his arm and pulled him to the Hermes Cabin.

"Okay fine I get it, you've made your point," he said while we made our way back.

Suddenly I felt it. A presence.

I froze and looked around. A cloaked figure was watching me from the roof of the Big House. Wait the roof?!

Jason saw my stare and followed my gaze.

"Oh that's Commander," he said, his voice sounded confused.

"What kind of name is that?" I asked.

"He calls it his title, he hasn't told us his true name."

"Is he a new camper?"

"No, he's Chaos's ambassador."

I gave him a knowing smirk.

"Sure and I'm the queen of England."

"Chaos introduced him himself."

I gave Commander another look. He seemed to be scanning the camp.

"Why would Chaos's ambassador come here?"

"Some issue caught Chaos's attention and he saw it fit to send an ambassador, though if he knows what issue he hasn't said."

"What has he said?"

Jason pondered the question.

"Not much," he said finally.

I looked back at Commander only to find that he was no longer on the roof of the Big House.

"What do you think of him?" I asked as we started walking again.

Jason hesitated. He didn't answer until we were back in dad's cabin.

"He's a mystery to all of us. To me he seems familiar but I don't know how. And," he hesitated again.

I turned to look at him.

"And what?" I prompted.

"I don't know why but I feel like we can trust him."

I looked at my half brother for a while.

"I'll take your word for it, but I still want to meet this mysterious Commander."

He grinned at me as I turned back to the cabin.

"But first, I will instruct you in the art of clean rooms."
