Rin was asleep, curled up like a ball under the blanket. The sunlight didn't reach the room she slept in.
A sound of loud footsteps came towards her room but Rin remained undisturbed by the sound. The footsteps stopped right outside her room.
"Asai. Wake up" Hijkata's voice said loudly.
Rin shifted in her sleep. The voice sounded like a fly buzzing in her ear.
"ASAI." Hijikata said louder, getting annoyed.
"Urgh...Shut Up. You're noisy." Rin said in her sleep, not knowing who she was talking to.
"Hmmm? What did you say?" Hijikata asked angrily.
"I said shut up. You're noisy-" Rin grumbled groggily.
"I know what you said you little-"
"Ah! Hijikata-San! Is Rin-chan ready for training yet?" A new voice asked.
"She hasn't even woken up yet, Heisuke" Hijikata said, sighing.
"Wait, what?! She won't get any breakfast then! RIN-CHAN! WAKE UP" Heisuke yelled.
"Why don't you yell a bit louder Heisuke?" Another voice asked sarcastically.
"SOUJI! I can't help it...Rin-chan's still asleep".
Souji let out an amused chuckle. He walked to the door and pulled it open loudly. "Rise and shine, kitten~"
"Souji! What are you doing? You can't just barge in on her like that. She isn't a guy like us" Hijikata said, getting slightly frantic.
"Oh, but he is~" Souji said, winking. "You agreed to it yourself Hijikata-San" he said, going into the room.
Souji walked up to the small, curled up lump under the blanket. "KITTEN~ GET OUR OF BED" he ordered, leaning close to her ear and being as loud as possible.
Rin groaned. "Go away Souji". She took the pillow from under her head and put it over her ear.
"Kit-ten~ You're gonna end up training without breakfast~" Souji said, half singing.
"He's right Rin-chan! The other instructors at the dojo won't let you eat a bite until lunch" Heisuke said, piping up.
Rin squeezed her eyes shut tighter.
Suddenly, Souji pulled the pillow off her ear/head and yanked her blanket off. Rin let out a small yelp as her eyes flew open. Heisuke and Hijikata stared at Souji and his level of intrusion of privacy with horror.
Rin bolted straight up and out of bed. She quickly fastened the sash which kept her shirt closed and sighed with relief. Luckily, it hadn't opened up unlike other times when she rolled around in her sleep.
"Ever heard of privacy Souji?" Rin asked, getting annoyed.
"Ohayou to you too kitten" he said, grinning.
"Asai." Hijikata called out. Rin turned to him. "If you want to remain here, you'll have to follow the time schedule" he said sternly and angrily. "Or else you won't survive for a single day." And with that, Hijikata left the room.
Rin stared at the empty spot he previously stood at. "is he seriously mad at me for oversleeping?" she asked, getting slightly disheartened.
"Oh, not really. That's just Hijikata-San's way of showing he's worried about you. He doesn't really believe you're a spy. None of us do actually, but Sannan-San does...and Sannan-San is usually right. So to prove him wrong, you'll need our help to try to fit in, which he tried to offer in his own style" Heisuke explained, sweatdropping at the last bit.
