One Night

The club met,
        We placed a bet.
And skipped off to the movies.
        She came back home.
        Nobody had known,
        Or even noticed she'd disappeared.

She felt fine,
        For just that night.
After her girlfriend calmed her down.
        The next night,
        The same old plight,
        Another row of tallies.

No more sleep,
        She wasn't weak.
        But neither was she strong.
        Everything moved,
        Nothing could sooth,
        The turbulent sounds around.

While they all slept,
        She curled up and wept.
        Mentally screaming back,
        Unleashing a hidden, protected wrath.
        Meant for no one,
        But herself.

Sleep would only come,
        If she gave consent.
And opened the veins once more.
        She couldn't now,
Not now, her leg had given out
        They would know right away.

Doctors, doctors everywhere.
They don't matter, they don't care.
        They want their money,
        Fair and square.
        So they get junk
        In their tummy.

If I told,
        I've been forewarned,
        They'd send me to seclusion.
        Padded walls,
        Empty halls.
        The looney bin,
        Just like Mother.

Gentic,
        I am a problem.
I never asked to be born.
        I shall take my life,
        On my own accord.
        I've been controlled since forever.
        Not today,
        Now I'm clever.

You raised a liar,
        A cunning little fox.
        A chameleon that can blend,
        Change my voice,
        Change what you percieve.
Not even I can tell you,
        Who's the real me.
