Thoughts on Hunger Games

So while watching catching fire I realized that it is kinda a microcosm for europe in the early 1900s. The first games is like ww1 no one was really happy with the result and as haymitch says no now really won. The second games (in mockingjay) is like ww2, because it is a second war where old people are fighting again this basically happened in Europe. The killing and torture represents just that. Also, no one was happy about what was happening and this is similar to Europe and the fighting back. The lives in district 13 are like the lives of people not in the USSR who are 'safe'. The lives if people in the other districts ate a representation of the lives of people in the USSR.

The picture at the start of this in no way relates to what I wrote about, I just love that joke!
