"Seriously?" You groaned as you walked out of the doors of RAD. The rain was pouring and the thunder rumbled. "Ugh, you have got to be kidding me."
You had two options; walk home in the pouring rain, or wait for one of the brothers to notice your absence and come to find you. If you hadn't forgotten to charge your D.D.D, you could've called one of them, but now you had no way to contact anyone.
The rain could last for hours and the Devildom at night isn't very friendly. Sighing, you walked out into the rain, the drops quickly soaking through your clothes and matting your hair. You hugged your bag close to your chest so your papers wouldn't get soaked.
By the time you made it to the House of Lamentation, you were chilled to the bone. You used a towel to dry your hair and changed into some comfy dry clothes. Instead of joining everyone for dinner as usual, you laid down and decided to rest.
"Has anyone seen {Y/N}?" Lucifer set his utensils down. "She still hasn't come down."
"She walked in an hour ago looking like a wet mop," Belphie replied.
Lucifer sighed before grabbing his plate and taking it to the kitchen, then walking to your room. He knocked, calling your name, but after no response, Lucifer opened the door and walked inside.
Your eyes were heavy, you felt like shit. At a soft voice calling your name, your eyes fluttered open and looked over to the source of the voice. With flushed cheeks, you hummed a response.
"Lucy..." you murmur.
"Are you alright?" He knelt down next to your bed. Your face was red and you seemed hazed. "Is everything okay? You weren't at dinner today, I was worried."
"Hm... 'ave I ever told ya how pretty ya'are?" You were smiling goofily. It was strange how sweet and blunt you were being, it made him blush. "Yeah... very pretty."
"I-- Um, I think I need to call Solomon," he moved to stand but you panicked and grabbed his arm, hugging it tightly.
"Don't leave me, Lucy!" You squeezed your eyes shut and wouldn't let him move his arm. "Please..."
"Ah! Uh--"
"Yo, Lucifer! What's takin' ya so long?" Mammon, Beel, and Satan all walked into the room. Asmo and Levi also came in, though Levi was carrying a sleeping Belphie.
Lucifer turned to them with wide eyes, his face still tinted pink while you held his arm. They all stopped and looked at you, flushed and nearly crying.
"Don't let 'em leave me!" You pulled on his arm. "Lucy... please... I...."
"Lucy?" Mammon snorted. "So, what's wrong with her, Lucy?"
"Mamam...?" Opening your eyes, you smiled at him. "Go n' tell Soapo Man to c'mere. That way, Lucy won't leave..."
"You heard her, Mamam," Lucifer nodded to him.
"Whatever..." he grumbled. Mammon took out his phone and quickly sent a message.
The rest of the demons crowded around the bed and watched as you babbled nonsense to Lucifer. You giggled, still cuddling his arm to your chest.
"Is your arm comfortable, Lucy?~" Asmo snickered, noticing how it had been placed between your breasts. You sat up, not moving his arm away from it's position and narrowed your eyes.
"Don't tease 'em, Asmoan," you said.
The boys nearly doubled over with laughter at hearing your nickname for him. Lucifer had finally noticed how you placed his arm comfortably between your breasts and, though he didn't complain, he blushed up a storm.
"Something's wrong with {Y/N}?" Solomon finally arrived. He walked over to where Lucifer was, but when he asked Lucifer to move, you loudly protested. "Wow... She's either drunk or sick."
"Sick?"
"Well, she's flushed," he placed his hand on your forehead. Chuckling as you sniffled a little. "She has a fever and a case of the sniffles. I'm just curious as to how she got sick. Did any of you stay to take her back here after her meeting?"
"No, we all had some other things going on," Satan replied.
"Does she have an umbrella?"
"I don't think so," Belphie said, waking up a little bit. "She came home soaked from the rain."
"That's it," Solomon laughed. "She's just got a cold. She'll be fine as long as she rests. But someone should take care of her in the meantime."
"Huh? No... 'm not sick!" You threw off the covers and dropped Lucifer's arm. He would never take bloodflow for granted ever again. Solomon tried to stop you, but you stood and poked his chest. "Don't talk to me like a child, Soapo Man... I don't need anyone to take care of me."
A sudden migraine hit you like a truck and you cried out, dropping to your knees. You held your head in your hands as all of the brothers rushed over to you.
"M'kay... fine," you huffed as one of them placed you back in your bed. "I might be a lil' under the weather."
"Too many people will make her head hurt worse, I suggest only one person to watch over her though," Solomon stated as he walked to the door. "Make her some tea, too. And a damp cloth will help. I'll let you boys fight it out."
"Lucy'll do it," you murmured. "He can do anything..."
"{Y/N}, I have work to do," he sighed. Your lip quivered as you looked up at him with big, teary eyes. "Oh..."
"Don't you care about me?" You whimpered. The brothers were interested to see how Lucifer could possibly say no to a face like that. "I thought you said you'd always be there for me..."
"She's got the cutest puppy eyes," Levi gushed. "She almost looks like Ruri-Chan from--"
"Fine... I'll take care of you," Lucifer looked away, defeated. He shooed the others away, asking Beel to make tea while he busied himself by dampening a cloth like Solomon said. "Would you like anything?"
"Mm," you simply hummed as he put the cloth on your forehead. It felt refreshing so you closed your eyes. Before you knew it, you had fallen asleep.
A few hours later, you woke up, shivering from the loss of your blanket. You looked around but couldn't find it anywhere. Lucifer heard your movement and turned around, looking amused as you crawled to the foot of your bed.
"You won't find it," he stated. You looked at him and pouted.
"But I'm cold," you moaned. "I'll freeze without it."
"No, you'll just raise your temperature," Lucifer sternly replied. You huffed and stood up, wobbly walking over to where he sat at your desk. "What--"
You plopped down into his lap and curled into his chest. He instinctively put his arms around you so you wouldn't fall.
"You're warm, I'm cold..." you sighed, your eyes beginning to flutter closed again. "Perfect match."
After a moment, Lucifer stood, carrying you back to your bed and placed you down. He took his jacket off, laying it on the back of the chair, and joined you. You immediately snuggled up to him and held him close, your head resting on his chest.
"Sleep tight," he whispered, running his fingers through your hair.
And hours later, when two curious demon brothers peeked in to see the progress, they finally got the picture of Lucifer with his guard down, holding you in his arms as the two of you slept soundly.
