They weren't kidding when they said the wedding day would be a stressful day, Draco thought as he walked from one side to another, breathing slowly. He was actually going to marry Harry Potter. In an hour, they would be a married couple. And damn, it felt so right.
Harry felt the exact way when Ron entered the room, and the whole situation felt like a big deja-vu:
"How are you feeling?"-he asked, once again turning to the table with the food on.
"Nervous. But its... its different. It feels right. I just didn't... I didn't write any vows because I can't write my feelings Ron."
"Now that sounds like a problem for Hermione. Draco has been screaming for half an hour too. Why does everyone scream in their wedding day, Bloody hell!"
"I want to scream! What if I block? Draco will kill me!"
"That's it, I'm calling Hermione."
"No need, Ronald Weasley, get out. Now you, Harry, how come you haven't wrote any vows?"
"It's just.. I can't express how I feel!"-his voice clearly showed frustration.
"I'm pretty sure you'll come up with something in the moment, that's really something you would do. Don't stress please, or it will go wrong, you need to stay calm. You're marrying the person you love, that should calm you down."
And it did for a while. When Harry had to go to the altar and wait for Draco to arrive, his nerves started to appear once again. He looked at his watch wanting all of this nervousism to just disappear so he could just enjoy his day.
Minutes passed and the music started playing. Draco Malfoy looked absoltely stunning in his white and silver smoking, with little gold buttons on it. Harry's nervousism seemed to be replaced with shock now as he looked at the man he would soon be married to. Of course the prat had beat me in the dressing code, he would never forgive himself if he didn't, Harry thought. But he was glad the blonde did, because this was an image Harry would never forget for the rest of his life.
Draco arrived at the altar and stared at Harry for a long time, processing if he approved what his soon to be husband was wearing. He nodded and bit his lip and Harry took that as a "Yes, and I'll have some fun ripping them off your body tonight".
The cerimony finally began. The two boys would switch looks, but weird and funny looks or even sassy, sexual looks with one another. Nothing was ever serious with them, and that was the fun in all of it. Because this little game they were playing relaxed one another as the cerimony proceeded and the vows finally came.
Harry thanked Merlin when Draco offered to go first.
"I met Harry Potter when I was a little kid, long before he even come to Hogwarts. His name was known everywhere, by everyone. Every single soul on the wizarding world was obcessed with him, and I wasn't different. I wanted to be friends with this incredible boy who defeated the Dark Lord, oh merlin, tell me a kid who wouldn't! And then I came to Hogwarts and I offered my friendship to him, and he said no. Stupid Potter."- Draco smiled and the whole crowd laughed- "Well, I guess you know the story. Enemys for years and now, Lovers. And now I'm marrying him, that's the definition of insane. But once again, tell me a story about this guy right here that isn't insane after all? You can't right? That's why this is right. It's unexpected. It's exciting. It's what you want for your life, and now I know it's what I want for mine too. Harry Potter, I love you, and I want to tell you this as many times as I can as long as I live."
The eyes were now on Harry who didn't have anything prepared. The boy was still in tears from the blonde's speech but he managed to start:
"Erhm... alright so... I have to be honest with you Draco, I didn't write anything. You're right, I like the unexpected and I don't know how to express my feelings. I could kiss you right here in front of everyone and done, that was it, but that would not be enough. Truth is, nothing would ever be enough, no, not even all the words that exist would be enough to express how I feel about you. That's why this is so hard, because I know how I feel about you, and you do too. And that's what matters, because that's why I love you. Because you and I have this.. this thing that we just understand each other when everyone else doesn't. That's love isn't it? Well, this feels right to me, like nothing ever has. And I want this more than I ever wanted anything in my life. So, please, forgive me for not preparing you anything but... I will have my whole life to make it up to you for it.."
Draco was trying his hardest not to cry as he mumbled-"stupid potter and his lame words..."
The real moment came, when the priest asked if anyone opposed to the wedding and a voice they both knew too well said:
"I do"
The two boys turned around to face Ginny Weasley who stood there with a huge smirk on her face. Harry was ready to go talk to her and asked her to stop this when the girl started laughing and said-"I'm joking, please proceed. I've been waiting months to play my revenge card and I finally did, but I want this wedding to happen as much as you all. Go Go, Marry already!"
Harry sighed in relief and so did Draco as they heard the words:
"I now pronounce you Husband and Husband"- and their lips met. Butterflies in their stomach? Try the whole zoo. This was a whole new feeling they were experiencing, being with each other for better or worst, in sickness or in health, loving each other through any obstacles that could possibly come in their way. They both had that in their thoughts, and that's exactly why Draco touched Harry's face softly while asking:
"Are you scared of this , Potter?"- he smirked.
"You wish.."
