Chapter 12- ERUC

"Are you seriously not going to talk? You two."- she pointed at Harry and Ron-"I'm sick of this childish situation, go away and talk."

Harry glared at Ron, who didn't move. He sighted and stared at the ground before feeling a hand placed on his, softly. He turned around to face Draco, who offered him his shoulder and so, he leaned into it.

Ron couldn't help but follow the two boy's actions. His eyes widened when this happened, clearly not ready for the demonstration of affection between them. Draco noticed this and started to become annoyed by the intensive glares he was getting from Ron. Frustrated, the boy let out:

"For Merlin's sake, Weasley, yes homo!"- and grabbed Harry's chin before kissing him harshly in the lips right in front of Ron.

Ron made a disgusted face and immeditely left the room, followed by Harry:

"I didn't want to believe you actually fell for the prat."- Ron said.

"Look Ron, I know you don't like him, AT ALL, but after knowing him, the real him, I wasn't able to hate him anymore.."

"So you started to love him instead?"- Ron crossed his arms.

"How would you react if I told you I might have been having feelings for him for a long time now, but I kept denying it to myself?"- Harry asked.

"I would say you had gone mental."

"Then I must have."

Silence came in. Neither of the boys knew what to say next. Harry really wanted his best friend back. Even though things like feelings were always easy to talk with Hermione, Harry Potter wasn't really himself without Ron. Their friendship was one of the strongest among the Hogwarts students of their time. They had been through the worse and the best situations together and Harry wasn't going to accept that a reckless decision like that one ruined the beautiful friendship they had.

"Ron, I need my best friend. I know you feel like you don't know me anymore, you feel betrayed because I'm with someone who caused you pain and offended your family, but please, please you have to give him a chance."

"I already am. The fact that I'm talking to you means exactly that. I saw the way you looked at each other, not even that insufferable git could fake such emotions. Don't let anything ruin that for you.. even if I HATE it with everything I have, you deserve the happiness."- Ron spoke, not looking directly at Harry for once, due to the embarrassment.

"Thank you mate."- Harry asked.

The two boys came back to the living room where Hermione greeted them with the news she so desperately wanted to share.

"I think it's time for some good news"- she started, trying to brighten up the mood-"About the other potion, I've found a solution. Draco, you're the one with a master in Potions, right?"

"That is correct, Granger."

"Have you ever heard of a potion who has the exact word of INCURABLE on it?"

Draco thought for a while, he dealt with Potions for many, many years at this point. But the more he thought about the ones he knew first hand or the ones he only heard or read about, the more he came to one single conclusion and started to understand:

"I haven't. Proceed."- Draco asked, truly interested.

"Well, that is the key to the answer. You see, I did a lot of research and I even read some of the Ministry's forbidden books, and I've came to the conclusion that it wasn't needed at all. Incurable Love it's what the Potion is called, the name Parum Dilligens has its origin in Latin. But if you searched for its origin in a Potions Books, or even Latin ones trying to understand if it had any obscure hidden secret in the name, you wouldn't find anything.

I never thought of following the easy way though. A complex potion like this one lead me to think it must also had a complex way to be cured. That's why I started to give up when I had no answers and I did an insane amount of research. Then, I took the easy way.

The English name, Incurable Love. Incurable means it doesn't have any sort of cure, am I right? Then I decided to go down to a level of easy codified information and I found something, cure backwards is ERUC. I don't think it rings any bells for you, but for Draco.."

"How could I be so oblivious? ERUC of course! It was under my nose all this time!"- Draco explained.

"What's that thing you Potion genius, care to explain?"- Ginny asked.

"Well, it's actually nothing more, nothing less than a flower that grows on the East Mountains in the Forbidden Forest."- Hermione explained.

"The problem is, it is not a simple flower. We can't just grab it and problem solved. This flower only blooms for the worthy. Translating, this flower will only bloom if the couple who grabs it has a worth, true love story. It actually makes sense that only real love could get you rid of the fake one the victims of the Potion had been giving you previously."- Draco finished.

"If the flower blooms.. what happens?"- Harry asked.

"We take the content of the flower with us, its sort of a liquid and we give it to Pansy and Blaise. They should be back to normal within 24hours."- Draco said.

"Then, what are we waiting for?"- Harry got up.

"Well, if a love story it's worthy to hear and make a flower bloom, it surely is yours."- Hermione let out.-"The only problem is Draco. He can't leave Pansy and Blaise for more than 24 hours, otherwise they will die."

"I remember Reading that. But we would be back before the time's up. We can make it."- Harry said.-"Draco, before you speak, you know you're not getting myself to give up on this plan once I've already decided I'm going through with it. And I just did. So, get yourself ready, it actually seems that we're going on a trip like you asked me to!
