Harry Potter woke up in a place he didn't quite remember. The walls were Slytherin Green and the room itself looked way more expensive than the suit he had payed for Ginny and him after the wedding.
Right, the wedding, Harry thought. That never happened. And this was Malfoy Manor. Harry decided to take a look around at the room and then, went looking for Draco. He stopped as he saw the boy talking with a house elf, telling him what they needed for the day.
The way he talked was not venomous like it was before. He used to be so cruel towards the magical creatures or any living beings in general. But his voice was soft, polite and Harry let himself like it that way.
The blonde turned around and faced Harry with a smirk.
"You sleep a lot, Potter."
"Saving the world wasn't easy. I deserve a lot of reast."- Draco rolled his eyes at the statement.
"I've sent them the money."
Harry stopped.
"To the Weasleys?"
"Of course, Potter, I'm not doing any other sort of charity at the moment."
"That's what this is, charity?"- Harry crossed his arms.
Draco rolled his eyes once again. He understood how Harry felt, somewhat scared but he was a Gryffindor. Wasn't bravery their thing? Then why was he so worried about what that was? Wasn't he brave enough to stick around and find out?
"No. What I did yesterday wasn't a favour for the Weasleys, but to you. Harry, you're here with me out of all people, if you ran off the wedding, it means your feelings for the Weasley girl weren't real."
"You called me Harry."
Draco stopped. He had never called Harry by his first name in his entire life.
"I guess I did, but don't get used to it."
"You say you did that to do me a favour but, I think you feel something too."- Harry marked.
"I thought that was quite obvious, Potter, but of course you're oblivious to the point of not understanding that."
"What? I am not oblivious, DRACO."- Harry smiled.
"Sure. Keep telling yourself that. But I do feel things for you, and thats why we're here. To show you how better than her I am"
"You're trouble, that's what you are"- Harry spat.
"You like it"
"You almost took me to Voldemort."
"But did I really? You seem pretty alive to me"- Draco kept smirking as he looked to Harry.
"You made my life miserable for years."
"I'd rather think I made your life interesting."
"By insulting me and my friends? Please do explain."- Harry raised an eyebrow and noticed how the house elfs put some food in his plate, in a gourmet quantity compared to what Mrs. Weasley used to put.
"Well, Potter, let's face the facts. All those years of fighting Voldemort and losing people, hating loads of more people, someone had to make you let that rage out. That happened to be me."- he keep smirking as Harry ate.
"You just made me more angry, Malfoy."
"But didn't that help sometimes? Yelling at someone and having a reason for it? Cmon, Potter, admit it. It felt good fighting me, because you finally had someone to yell to. If you did that to your best friends, you would probably regret that for the rest of your life, but me? You had a thousand reasons to yell at me and not feel bad about it. I deserved it. And I know all that rage wasn't just for me, I knew somehow I was helping, because I know what bottling up feelings is."- he looked down.
"Like bottling up for years that you were on Voldemort's side?"- Harry spat, angry.
"I suppose so."- Draco kept the smirk.- "Now, finish eating, I want to show you something."
Harry raised an eyebrow once again. It was oficial, Draco Malfoy confused him like no one else did. And for some odd reason, the Golden Boy keep following the ex-Death Eater, curious of what his next move was.
He followed him to what seemed like a huge lab. It was filled with books and cauldrons and loads of elements you would use in a potion. In order to become an auror, Harry had to keep taking Potions until the end of school. He remembered Draco did too, so he could become a Potions Master. He knew the blonde now a teacher at Hogwarts and was known as the "Snape Junior" for taking all Gryffindor points away.
He remembered Snape. His last words to him, as the man died right in front of Harry. He remembered the truth, Snape being forever broken because his mother had chosen his father instead of him. An impossible love between a Slytherin and a Gryffindor.
That sure looked like the situation he was now on. Was it possible that when Draco meant bottling up for a long time, he meant keeping his feelings for Harry hidden for him and watch him slowly fall in love with Ginny without saying a word? That was possible, Harry concluded. He needed to sort that out soon.
"What is this?"
"Potter."- Draco stopped- "You have eyes. It's a potions lab."
"Why do you have one though?"
"Maybe because I have too many space in this house and I love Potions, have you considered?"
"Would you mind stop bickering at me every time I do a statement?"
"I can't help it"- Draco smiled- "And you can't help but like it either. Now what I wanted to show you is this. This weird potion I've invented."
"You invented a.. potion? Malfoy, that's huge"
Draco smiled and blushed a bit. "I know"
"Tell me more."- Harry sat in front of him and the Slytherin was actually surprised Harry wanted to know something about him.
"Well, it's sort of a curse. Like, whoever drinks this is cursed for life. What I mean is, whoever drinks this potion will be forever stuck in a dream they will never be able to wake up from. A painful dream, with their biggest fears on it."
"It had to be extremely dark, didn't it?"- Harry laughed.
"You're laughing, but I'm protecting myself."- Draco stated.
"Wait, what do you mean protect yourself?"
"My father."
