Blankets wrapped themselves around your body loosely. You tossed and turned, turned and tossed, twirling in your bed restlessly. Moonlight dappled the floor in strange shapes, and upon looking out the window, it was from the brushing trees shrouded with leaves; they swished and swayed with the cool nights breeze. That gentle breeze of which nature's beauty rode on every night, galloping near from the horizon and cultivating sleep and dreams. Getting up from your bed and meandering over to your window lazily, you unhooked the locks. Pushing resulted in a loud creak as it opened. Never bothering to fix your slumped posture, you let your eyes travel over the rippling landscape dotted with trees and tall grasses. Stars whizzed above like aerodynamic knives that cut the deep blue. It was truly beautiful. Relaxing. Rather chilly, too, but a certain warmth, perhaps the serenity of the scene, kept your body drawn to the windows edge. You leaned your arm against the windowsill and looked at the moon. The breeze brought with it the cold smell of fresh night air and the whispering of shuddering leaves. And also, apparently, the grating sound of a large vehicle being started up.

You stifled a grunt of surprise. Just as the landscape attempted to lull you to sleep, that loud noise perked you up. An attack, perhaps? No, that couldn't be. For one they would likely park far enough away so as not to alert the alarm systems or risk being loud enough to be heard. For two, it was very strict that each team should stay in their own bases and hold their own. Ever since Graymann started taking over Mann Co with his unforgiving iron fist, everyone has been frantic to protect their land from bots rather than the opposing team. However, since these bots were in beta testing, they used solar power, which meant no more fighting or staying on alert at night. For the time being, at least.

Which, unfortunately, resulted in restless mercenaries. With each day's wave of bots being easily defeated, and so very much more time on their hands, they didn't know what to do with themselves. Restlessness was simply becoming the norm. You would always find yourself laying in bed, awake, not having used up all your energy during the day at all. This was the case for most of the mercenaries here at the (RED/BLU) base.

Your mind snapped back to the vehicle as it rumbled a deep growl and spit out gravel from its tires. Darkness consumed all so you couldn't see into the night, but you could hear as the vehicle practically tore away from the base like lightning. It sounded familiar but you couldn't quite place it. It definitely wasn't Engineer's truck, he'd never be out this late anyways. Who else had a car? As long as the alarm system wasn't triggered, you figured, it would be okay.

You moved towards your bed again, leaving the window open, and fell into the cushioned pile of blankets, twisting into a burrito and falling slowly into a deep sleep.

The long day of fighting bots was finally over. It was yet another restless night for you. Chilly wind gently lapped at the curtains as your window was once again open. It was strange how last night there was a loud vehicle, but it was even stranger that you found yourself at your windowsill again, listening to the vehicle starting up- again. This peaked your curiosity. You couldn't sleep anyway- why not investigate? Who could it be?

You grabbed a scarf and wrapped it around your neck for warmth. You pulled a pair of socks on then running shoes. Catapulting yourself through your window, you landed roughly about five feet below in thick grass with a thud. You popped your head out and listened closely for the rumbling of what you assumed was a truck. Following the noise, you found yourself traveling around the edge of the building and into the near treeline. Pushing through a final bush, what caught your eye surprised you.
