Hi Guys!

This is my first time writing a Fan-Fiction novel and I'm doing it on my favorite band: COLDPLAY! Anyways, I hope that you like it and feel free to vote/fan/comment anytime! Feedback is much appreciated :)

Fix You Lyrics:

When you try your best, but you don't succeed

When you get what you want, but not what you need

When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep

Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face

When you lose something you can't replace

When you love someone, but it goes to waste

Could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home

And ignite your bones

And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below

When you're too in love to let it go

But if you never try you'll never know

Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home

And ignite your bones

And I will try to fix you

Tears stream down on your face

When you lose something you cannot replace

Tears stream down on your face

And I...

Tears stream down on your face

I promise you I will learn from my mistakes

Tears stream down on your face

And I...

Lights will guide you home

And ignite your bones

And I will try to fix you

-Iris's P.O.V- Chapter One

The bell chimes as I walk into The Queen's Cafe. The scent was outrageous. The sounds of hot coffee being poured into their mugs, sweet chocolate drizzling over stuffed crepes, and the sound of young and old adults and children talking while they eat their crumpets and drink their tea. It was great. Wendy, the owner, threw an apron at my face.

"You're late again, Miss Iris." Wendy groaned.

"Madam, I can explain–" I choke out an excuse.

"Just serve the tea to table four and look out for the screaming red-haired child at table six."

     "Okay."

I place the apron over my head and grab the dishes I was supposed to serve. I ran over from table to table sweating and panting over the mouthwatering food that was placed in front of me.

An hour later, I'm about to grab my sandwich and go out for my lunch break until Wendy calls me over in a harsh voice.

"Iris, I need to talk to you." She says hesitantly.
