Chapter 15: To Do The Same

Clarkes pov:
The rest of the day we just cleaned up the bunker and moved supplies from the camp to it. Just before the sun started setting I asked Bellamy if I could show him something. "What is it?" "A surprise." I say and take his hand.

"What's the occasion?" "I guess it's only polite to do the same. Since you showed me something (the stars) I get to show you something." He smiles and nods. It's about a 40 minute walk west from camp.

"Okay now close your eyes." He gives me a wary look. "Trust me." I say and he closes his eyes very warily though. I take his hands. I lead him through the trees to a small cliff overlooking water.

"Open." I say and he does. His mouth drops about an inch or two. I giggle. Just him being in amazement makes me happy. It's a side of him not many people get to see. "This is really cool."

We sit by the edge looking at the sky. It's exploding with oranges, pinks, reds and yellows. "This is by far the best sunset I've seen down here." He finally says after a while. Then he snakes his arm around my body. And holds me.

Bellamy's pov:
I really don't know how to process what has happened between me and Clarke. I mean, I guess I've always liked her but the fact that she likes me back?

Wait. We aren't even official. I haven't technically asked her yet. I stand up and then I take her hands and help her up. But I don't let go of her hands.

"Clarke." I trail my one hand up her left arm, to her shoulder and then to her face. "Will you be my girlfriend?" I say very almost shaky. She looks at me and smiles.

"Do you want an answer right now?" She finally says. I just nod no words will come out right now. "Then I guess you won't be getting one!" My mouth drops and my eyes get wide as I see her laugh and skip away.

I lightly jog and follow her until she slows down. Then I engulf her in a bear hug and she squeals. "Bellamy!" I laugh along with her. "So your just gonna leave me hanging?!" I say shocked. "Yup." This is like torture.

But Damn. This really is my girl.
