Just pick up the phone and invite them," Sam explained, simply.

"It's not that easy," I sighed.

"Actually, yeah, it is," Sam corrected.

I frowned at her and picked up my phone. I dialled in a number that I haven't in so long.

"Hello?"

"Hi mom," I greeted.

"Katerina," My mom started, "How are you dear?"

"I'm good. How are you?" I asked.

"I'm great," She answered.

"So what's new?" I asked.

"Oh nothing, your father is trying to build a shed in the backyard," She answered.

"In winter?" I asked, confused.

"Yeah, he wouldn't listen to me in summer and now that there's no space in the garage, he finally started," She chuckled.

I could hear her affection for my dad in her voice. Just the way she talked about him showed how much she loved him.

"Same old dad," I giggled.

"Yes, he hasn't changed," She agreed, laughing.

"Is Jenna at your place?" I asked.

"Yes, George is helping build the shed," She answered.

I smiled, George was always there to help my family. He is the best husband ever. They got married three years ago, and had Anna.

There was a silence in the middle of the conversation.

"So, hun, is there anything you wanted to ask?" Mom asked, suddenly.

"Uh, actually yeah," I said.

"Go on," Mom ushered.

"Well, since it's christmas, and I haven't seen you guys in a while, why don't you guys come over in two weeks?" I suggested.

"Of course! That'll be wonderful!" My mom exclaimed, happily.

"Tell Jenna and George as well," I added.

"Yes, I'll do it right away!" She said, excitedly.

"Okay," I laughed. "Bye,"

"Bye, sweetie," She said.

I hung up the phone and rested my head on the sofa.

"So?" Sam asked.

"They're coming in two weeks," I said. "You want to come?"

"I'll try to make it," Sam said.

I smiled.

"Where's lover boy?" I smirked.

"Lover boy?" Sam asked.

I nodded my head, "Your lover boy,"

Sam's cheeks lit up.

"I don't know where he is," She said.

"Sam," I started, "You're lying,"

She crossed her arms. "Am not,"

"Right," I winked.

"You sound a lot like someone I know," Sam said.

"Who?" I asked.

"Someone," She winked. "I think you might know this person,"

I furrowed my eyebrows, in confusion.
