♡ Part 57: cloudy ♡

kakashi: i see.... did you like it

she hit his arm and he chuckled

sakura: .... kakashi

kakashi: hm?

sakura: i didn't stop the kiss... am i unfai--

kakashi: you're the most faithful person i know sakura. but, you are dating that sasuke. rather than regretting it, move on knowing that naruto trusted you with his deepest feelings. that's all. 

she nodded her head and silence filled the air. soon after, naruto came back out

naruto: oh kakashi-sensei um..

kakashi: she already told me

naruto looked over to sakura and already knew that she would tell kakashi. he didn't mind because he was going to tell kakashi anyways because he knew that he would need the masked mans wisdom once he started freaking out

kakashi: well, i should head back to minato and kushina. see ya

he went off to the couple as sakura chuckled

sakura: he's obviously going to third wheel them. but let's get some amazake

naruto laughed and they went along together as shikamaru observed them from the back. he couldn't hear what they were saying, although their actions clearly showed a different feeling than it did before. 

TO SASUKE

he walked alongside his big brother itachi, izumi, his uncle obito and aunt rin to the shrine. all he could think about was the photo that sakura promised to send of her outfit for the night. although she still hadn't sent him anything. not even a single text which was weird because she would usually send him a good morning text or just something but she didn't. he wanted to text but because of how cloudy his head was, he forgot to bring his phone

rin: c'mon sasuke, enjoy the night. you know what? come with me, i'll buy you some amazake

sasuke: hmph okay

obito: bring us some too

rin smiled and nodded her head. they went to the amazake stand and sasuke silently stared at the floor and the brunette sighed

rin: now tell me, what's bothering you sasuke

sasuke: nothing

he was quick to reply but she could tell that he was obviously lying. the thing is, rin had always been the one who always took care of him when itachi couldn't. not only that but after the death of his parents, rin and obito became like second hand parents to him. as much as he didn't want to talk about it, he realized that of all people, rin could possibly be able to listen to him like no one else could

sasuke started off with a sigh and rin knew that he was going to tell her. she gave him a small smile to ensure him that she was there for him

sasuke: my girlfriend, sakura. she hasn't talked to me all day

he looked down but then rin chuckled which sort of irritated the raven haired boy

rin: is that it sasuke? i never expected you to feel cloudy because of something so small

sasuke: that's the thing, no one ever thinks that it bothers me.... but

rin: i get it. you're worried about her. the thing is..

she looked up at the sky as they still waited in line. sasuke took a glance at her and noticed a small smile on her face

rin: the thing is, you're overthinking. you should have trust in her. i'm pretty sure she loves you and that won't change over a few days of not seeing each other.

'hmph...'

rin looked over to sasuke and could immediately tell what he was thinking. it was the same look that obito would give her when she told him that about her love for him. 

rin: just trust me on this. she may very well be having fun without you but that doesn't mean she had forgotten of you, kay?

sasuke finally looked at her and she smiled to him. he smiled back and they got their amazake and headed back to the others

sasuke: aunt rin..

rin: hm?

sasuke: thank you

rin let out a little sigh and looked down

rin: don't thank me, i'm just doing what i think is right

they finally got back to the others and gave them their share of the amazake. the brunette went beside obito and held his hand. a little blush landed on his cheeks as he stared at the brunette beauty whom he was happily married to and held her hand a little tighter

izumi: well let's head to the shrine

itachi: right

they all happily went to the shrine and sasuke felt a little more at ease after talking to rin. although he still did wonder what she was doing...
