win is headed to the elevator, holding a pile of folders on both his hands when he bumps into someone and the folders get strewn on the tiled floor. win doesn't know if he'll cuss or apologize to the person. he doesn't even know if he's the one at fault so instead of minding whoever he bumped into, he just picks the folders one by one.

"i'm sorry."

"it's okay," win says, busy collecting the folder in the crook of his arm.

"let me help you."

the person helps him pick up the folders and smiles at him. he's only been in this company for weeks, so he doesn't know everyone. but it's the first time he's seen the guy even if he's roamed around the building, sending copies of papers and projects to different offices, but the guy's face isn't familiar to him.

he doesn't usually talk to strangers the first time they just meet, but curiosity hits him that when the guy gives the folders to him and smiles, the first thing that comes out of his mouth is: "i haven't seen you around here."

the guy looks shocked, and win feels the embarrassment rush into his face. he shouldn't have said that. he mentally slaps himself.

"i'm from another company. i've been tasked here for a collaboration project. i'm seint, by the way."

seint extends his hand, and win reaches to shake it. this gives win a chance to look at the guy. seint is tall, but their height difference isn't that distant. he's fair, his hair in a fringe, and he seems like the type of guy who always smiles because even if it's been seconds since he's checked him out, his smile doesn't falter. win grasps his thoughts and nods.

"i'm win. anyway, i'm really sorry for being rude."

seint flails his hand as if fanning it, and smiles. again. what's with this guy and all the smiling? win is thinking.

"no, it's alright."

win nods again, but at the back of his mind he wants to dig deeper. there's something about seint that bothers him, though he's not sure what.

"are you an intern?"

seint shakes his head.

"no. i'm a licensed engineer."

win simply nods. the air between them stills, and he takes that as a go signal.

"i guess i'll go now, thank you for helping me with these," he says, mentioning the folders.

"i should say sorry actually. i wasn't looking that's why i bumped into you."

i knew it.

"it's alright."

just a win walks toward the elevator, he feels a hand wrap around his elbow. he looks at seint who's rubbing the back of his neck.

"i actually don't know anything around here. would you mind if i ask you where this is?"

seint pulls out a paper from his bag and win takes it.

"oh, this? i'm on my here actually. you can go with me."

seint's smile seems like it'd reach his ears, and win can't help but chuckle. he's older than him, but he looks like a kid and he seems to act like a kid -- like a baby. win clears his throat, brushing off all the thoughts in his head. why do i keep on checking him out? win argues with himself and remembers bright's face, which calms him down.

they get inside the elevator, and the people surge inside. win keeps on moving backwards until he realizes that his back is squishing seint. he slowly turns around, facing him.

"i'm sorry," win mutters under his breath and he sees seint smile. the elevator is packed, and their faces are inches away from each other which win finds particularly awkward.

"is something wrong?" he sees seint tilt his head, worry evident on his face as his hand mindlessly go over win's head.

"no, nothing." win looks away.

"are you sure? you don't look that well."

do i? win asks himself but assures seint that he's alright by nodding.

when they get out of the elevator, win can't help but sigh. it's scorching inside because of the people, and getting out of there feels like he's gotten out of the oven. he beckons seint to come with him towards the office where both of them are coincidentally going to.

"how long have you been an intern here?" seint starts the conversation as they walk.

"five or so weeks, i think?" wins just keeps on walking, looking at the folder clutched in his arms, not giving seint a glance.

"do you consider working here after you graduate?"

"i'm thinking about it," he answers, still not looking at him. but just as they open the office's door, he feels seint stiffen beside him. win curiously looks at him and his expression looks like he's seen a ghost, his face placid as if all his blood left him.

"are you alright?" he asks, worried.

"bright," seint mutters, and win's heart start beating like crazy. he shifts his gaze and looks at his boyfriend standing beside a table, his expression the same as seint's.
