"i wish i were..."

"it was me, mr. webber." alex lied.

principal webber sighed. "and why would you attack your classmates, alexander?"

"because they were bullying me as well as will byers and elenor hopper!" alex yelled. "haven't you seen our lockers? there are cruel names written all over them!"

"okay, okay, i will have a chat with madison, connor, and jennifer once they are done with nurse anderson, but for now, you've been suspended for two months." mr. webber decided.

"yeah, i assumed so." alex muttered and stood up.

"now, alex, during your suspension, i want you to think about your actions, think long and hard." mr. webber added.

alex gave a small nod and left the office. of course, he didn't want to be suspended, but to him it was worth risking it for will.

will looked outside the door of the classroom and saw alex walk by.

"where's he going?" will whispered.

michelle looked towards the door and saw alex as well.

"what the—."

the bell interrupted michelle's sentence. all of the students stood up from their seats and rushed towards the door.

will pulled el as him and michelle followed alex.

"alex, where are you going?" michelle asked.

"i got suspended. i took the blame for what happened in the hallway." alex revealed.

will sighed, feeling guilty.

"alex, you didn't have to to that." will uttered.

"maybe i didn't have to do that, but i had to do something to make it right." alex whispered.

will knew what alex was talking about.

"alex, what're you talking about?" michelle asked.

"i have to go." alex whispered and went out the double doors.

"what the hell is that about?" michelle asked, again.

"nothing." el replied. "let's go, will."

el grabbed will's arm and brought him to their next class and michelle went her own way.

will could not believe that alex had took the blame for something that he wasn't even involved with.
