You were sitting on a log, around a campfire. Percy, Annabeth, Hazel, Frank, Jason, Piper, and Leo were around you. You happened to be sitting by Leo Valdez, your crush, but you were to caught up in the beauty of the scenery and could not freak out that you were sitting next to Leo. It was night, and you could see hundreds of Greek constellations move across the sky. The fire flickered in the wind.
"Hey, let's sing campfire songs," Piper said, breaking the silence.
"Good idea," said Annabeth. then Frank reached behind his and Hazel's log and pulled out am acoustic guitar.
"You play guitar?" you asked in amazement. You sorta found this funny. Leo, who you were sharing a log with, could not contain his laughter.
"You haha, you play guitar?"Leo choked out.
"Yeah, here and there. What's wrong with that?" Frank questioned.
"Nothing, just Bahahaha!!" Leo burst out into another fit of laughter right after he choked those words out.
"Leo," you slapped his arm lightly," don't tease!"
"Owwie, (y/n) that hurt." Leo complained.
"Man up Leo," you tease and high-five Piper, who was siting next to you.
"Nice move (y/n)," Percy says and you grin.
"Hey Frank, can you play 'Hey there Delilah' by the Plain White T's?" Annabeth asked.
"OMG I love that song!" squealed Piper, "it was my jam a couple of years ago!" Frank nods and starts playing the opening chords and you start singing.

By this time you were all singingq and swaying to the music. This song just reminded you of the life of a demigod. Sorrows and those few moments where it turns out this is the best thing that's ever happened to you.

At the chorus, you noticed that Piper and Jason, and Percy and Annabeth were holding hands and looking into each others eyes. Frank and Hazel were clearly singing this love song to each other. You felt a twinge if jealousy for what those couples had and you didn't. Love.

Leo makes your heart beat a thousand miles a minute, turn tomato red, fall over, stutter like a crazed girl. You were in love with Leo.

We'll have the life we knew we would.
This time you can't help but stare as Percy and Annabeth hold hands. It is so cute but hurts because they have what you want. Then suddenly a pair of warm hands take yours. You look down at you hands and see Leo's hands to. You start blushing immediately.
"(Y/n) you are smart, pretty, funny, strong an have a bunch if other amazing qualities. I love you. Will you- will you be my girlfriend?" Leo asked you. Your heart stopped beating for a moment. You grin and say,
"Yes."
"Oh, it's okay. I'm used to being
rejec- Wait. You said yes? Leo asked a look of shock on his face.
"Yes!"
You lean in and kiss Leo on the lips.
Campfires are awesome.
