Chapter 12: Why Can't I?

Each teacher, except Product and Chameleon which were the homeroom advisors of both sections, were assigned to observe the training of five students that they have chosen or found in the forest. They have to identify the students' goal(s) and they could recommend a training plan, if necessary. The homeroom teachers were standing at the front of the retreat site while the early afternoon sun rays filled them with the autumn warmth. They were waiting for the other teachers to arrive and give out their reports.

It was Pointshot that started first and went straight to the point; "Beatrix Sy, vis: Animal Transformation. She's trying to study other animals by reading a variety of books; which includes their main habitat, diet and behaviour. It is a requirement of her vis to know these things so that she could transform into them. Right now, she can only transform into a tiger, eagle, dog and cat.

Novo Vicis' training is also similar to her. His vis, Overwrite, which is a very interesting vis, I would say, can let him transform an object that he touches into a different one; however, he needs to understand the chemical components of the objects he's turning it from and to. Both of them were quite smart so I see no problem of them learning more things about their vises.

Res Occano (Class 1-Beta), vis: Shockwave. Right now, his vis can transform any sound frequencies into shockwaves that can be used as a form of attack. Currently, he needs to produce sounds from musical instruments which can be a major drawback in case he has none on hand. Right now, he wants to take advantage of utilizing natural sounds coming from around him so that he wouldn't be depending so much on his instruments; nevertheless, the shockwaves aren't as strong enough yet comparing it if he uses a medium to produce it.

Apolla and Artemia Oly (Class 1-Beta), vis: Ascend and Descend respectively. They were known as the gravity twins and were so much dependent on each other because their vises are directly corresponding and complement one another; Apolla can make things float from the ground while Artemia can make things fall to the ground. Right now, they are trying to train independently and increase the coverage of the area and things that they can control at the same time." The ash-haired hero bowed as he finished providing his information.

Chameleon hummed as he finished writing all of the data he gathered. "So Pointshot, I heard you gave the group that faced you yesterday a hard time before you passed them."

The 7th Pillar hero chuckled softly as he replied, "Their strategy was quite very effective if I didn't have set-up a sham with my robe on it. Being the last group that arrived, I thought I made it more difficult for them but hearing that you and Manifesto made your group gave up proves that you both are a force to reckon with."

The grey-haired hero turned around when a heavy chuckle rang from where he came from. It was the long, blue-haired hero, Manifesto. "Humble as always, Pointshot." He said with a strong accent. Now it's his turn to report. "For the students that I observed and/or helped; these were my observations:

Nebbie Caligo (Class 1-Beta), vis: Nebula. She can create mists all over the place that can directly affect the visibility of the area she's covered. Right now, her training involves increasing the coverage of the mist and increasing her physical strength and combat ability.

She was practicing with Sequa Mollis (Class 1-Beta) which also was training to increase her combat knowledge by studying different martial arts and fighting techniques. Her vis: Gymnastics makes her balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, and endurance topped all the current first-year students.

Dens Unda, vis: Liquification. He makes everything that he touches turns into a liquid state. Right now, he's improving his agility and reflexes by training together with Flumen who shoots streams of water for him to avoid. In this way, he can increase his reaction time and speed so that he could quickly reach his target.
