  "you are? What is your name?" You sat up.

"I'm popee." He stepped closer and (kneeled/stood on his tip toes) to your height. "And you are?"

"Th-that's-" Kedamono was cut off
"Shut it Keda."

Even you flinched at his harsh voice. "I'm (y/n)..."

He gave a really stupid yet somewhat cute looking smile, causing your cheeks and ears to go pink.

Popee chuckled "hah- well it's nice to meet you. Question, why were you just laying there, out in the middle of the desert?" He tilted his head, his bangs swaying to the side.

"Ah, right. Well I like to explore. And I forgot my water at home...."

Popee reached over and pinched your skin
"Wh- OW!"

He snickered, "yyyyyep, you're dehydrated. Keda, go get him some water before he dies of thirst. Pleeeeaaasssseee????"

Kedamono bolted out of the tent.

"That'll keep him busy." Popee soon rested his head on the bed, looking at you. "So, y/n tell me more about yourself. You interest me." He grinned

You nudged him. "God, you're acting like someone from a cliche fanfi- aaanywho- I....I dunno uhhh.... I'm a very energetic person?" (Don't you dare say you aren't- you know at some point you've had a burst of energy)

Popee jumped up, clapping his hands "Perfect! Perfect! Perfect!"

Kedamono entered again, handing you a bit of water in a cheap plastic cup.
You chugged it in 3 seconds.
"Aaaah- thank you!"

Kedamono seemed to smile a little "you're welcome."

Popee backed up a little and held out his hand. "You wanna try and walk?" He asked.

You nodded and slid your feet off of the bed you were on. You shakily stood up, taking Popee's hand so you wouldn't fall again.

"There- you got it!" He giggled

"Hey, (y/n)? Can I ask you a question?" He asked.

You nodded "what is it?"

Popee looked to the side. "You had a mom, right? What was she like? Was she nice?"

You gave a quick nod.
"She was alright. She would hurt me here and there, but she was going through a really rough time. It seemed she needed a break from the stress of taking care of me. But she loved me." You shot him a half smile.

Popee gave a small nod. "You see, Barely anyone who loves me is left. My dad seems to use me for my talent...or at least he did. Mom and my sister left- and I'm sure Kedamono hates my guts."

You lightly punched him. "Keda loves you! He wouldn't have listened to you when you told him to get me water."

Popee gave a snicker "uh huh- suuuurre- well I should prooooobably show you around huh?" He asked.
  You gave a small nod. "So I would at least know where I was going."

"Wait a second-"

"Hm?" He turned to look you in the eyes.

You looked at your hands. "Dude- you better have socks on or I swear-"

He chuckled. "I mean, technically this whole thing is just a big full body sock so um-"

You laughed. "Maaan you're Something else-"

- time skip brought to you by Kedamono's chicken wings -

You were hanging out, fiddling with your fingers until you heard loud gunshots. "Huh- what-"
You ran towards them.
There was popee, shooting at Kedamono with a scary look on his face.

Kedamono spotted you and ran behind you. "Popee- you're traumatizing him-"

Popee laughed "AHA! Pssshhhhh as if he isn't already traumatized!"

You hugged Kedamono. "It's alright....he won't hurt you. At least not when I see it."

Kedamono shook violently, but nodded

"Besides Popee, it's getting late. Shouldn't we all go to sleep?"

Popee nodded slowly. "Yeaaahh...... I'm sleeping with you!" He jumped up and down.
Kedamono seemed to have a 'thank god' look on his face

"Huh!? Sleeping with me!? O-okay....but only if you have socks on!"

Popee giggled. "Ahhh- you and those socks- I just need to know more about you. Plus I like you! As I said, you interest me!" He gave off that stupid smile again.

~tent~

You laid down on the bed, staring at Popee. He pulled the hat off to reveal his hair. He had two little pigtails on the top of his head. You could help but to let out an "awwww!" As if you saw a puppy.

"Huh- what's so cute?" He asked.

"Your little pigtails! They're adorable!"

He crossed his arms "they are not!"

You giggled, pulling him down with you. "Are too! Awwww you're so adorable!" It seemed as if you and Popee swapped personalities.

"Shut up and go to sleep." A little bit of laughter was present in his voice.

You nodded and tuned around.

You felt the warmth of his stomach touch your back, causing you to blush.
"We're just homies right?" You asked.

He seemed confused. "Homies?"

"Ah, right- friends. We're just friends right?"

"Oh- yeah! Just friends...."

His arms slithered around you and wrapped around your waist.
It seemed like he was asleep already though, so he probably didn't Notice.

You closed your eyes, struggling, but eventually falling asleep
