Interference

Sans shot up in his bed once again, tears in his eyes. Why? Why could he still not get a happy ending?

"Sans?" Papyrus said, quietly entering his room. The tall skeleton sat on the bed next to his brother, concerned. "Is everything alright?"

"No."

"?!"

"I... I just want a happy ending, Paps. I've waited so long and tried so hard. Why can't I get a happy ending? Do I not deserve it?"

"Sans, it's okay. You just have to keep trying! Of course you deserve it, brother! Just stay determined. You can do it!"

"Heh... thanks Paps."

"Ink, I think Nightmare is in Blue's universe! I don't know what- Ink? Ink!? Where are you!? Oh gosh, Ink's not here... I'll have to go see what Nightmare is up too on my own..."

Sans killed the human once more, watching the soul shatter. Maybe the happy ending wasn't on the surface. Maybe he could just live here. Teleporting back out of the ruins, he began to walk back to his house when he heard screams. Monster dust blew in the wind.

Sans's eyes widened and he began to run. How? I killed the human! Why are monsters dying?! Approaching snowdin, he saw 3 figures. He was shocked when he got closer. They were all skeletons that looked an awful lot like him.

One skeleton had an axe and a chunk of his skull missing. His wide red eyes were terrifying. Beside him was a skeleton in a blue hood who seemed to be enjoying himself a lot, his eyes red and blue with a red outline. His magic was purple and he attacked with bones and gaster blasters, just like Sans did. The last skeleton looked almost identical to Sans's original outfit, except the jacket was a darker blue, his eyes were empty black leaking some strange black liquid, and he had a target-shaped soul on his chest. He attacked with a knife.

"It looks like Sans has arrived." The skeleton with the hood over their head commented, causing the others to turn toward Sans. Monsters nearby cowered in fear.

"Why are you doing this?! What do you want?!" Sans cried, preparing his magic.

The one with the black liquid coming from his eyes and target soul stepped forward, a crazed smile on his face. They all had that same smile. They all looked like Sans. "Simple. We want you."

Sans took a step back, shocked and confused. "What do you mean? If that was some strange pick-up line then my answer is no. Actually, it's no either way. You just killed innocent monsters!"

The target soul skeleton tilted his head, flipping the knife in his hands absentmindedly. "Are you sure?" Stepping to the side, he revealed the skeleton with the chunk missing from his head. They were hold Papyrus with an axe to his neck.

"Sans-"

"PAPYRUS!" Sans cried out, running forward. He froze when the axe was brought closer to his brother's neck.

"I recommend you don't move any more or you may just have to watch your brother turn to dust." The one with the target soul commented. Sans didn't move, thinking. "Oh, and don't think about resetting. You can't reset unless your dead or at a save point. And trust me, if you try, you'll regret it."

"I-" Sans hesitated. "Fine. I'll do what you want. Just don't touch my bro."

"Good decision."

"Hello, Dreamy."

"Nice to see you too, brother. Now why are you here?"

"Oh, it's simple." Nightmare said, smiling smugly. Dream frowned. "I want to keep you away from the new AU."

Dream's eyes widened. "No-!"

"You're already too late." Then Nightnare attacked.
