When sixteen-year-old Audrey Harris starts dating her classmate Adam, she couldn't be happier, but their lives take an unexpected turn when she falls pregnant.
Raised by her gran in a small town in New Hampshire, USA, Audrey knows she would find it difficult to financially support her baby and fulfil her dreams of going to nursing college. While considering all her options, Audrey soon comes to realise that no matter which path she decides is right for her, life will never be the same again.
After making a decision, Audrey struggles to come to terms with the consequences of her actions. Did she make the right choice? Perhaps, she'll never know. But what she does discover, amidst her turbulent life, is that self-acceptance and self-love can be found in the most unexpected places.
