Great! Just freaking great!
I banged my fist on the steering wheel in frustration and it gave a loud honk in response.
Oh shut up! Stupid car.
I got down from the car shutting the door a little harder than necessary but what the heck. I was frustrated at this point. The damn car deserved it after suddenly breaking down, and I was only halfway home! Which meant I had to walk all the way back home.
My phone battery died down because I forgot to charge it and now I couldn't call my uncle.
Not that I would even call my uncle if my phone hadn't died anyway, an Uber would have been nice.
I just had the best luck today. Note the heavy sarcasm there.
Sighing in annoyance, I started walking back home. The stupid headache I had been feeling all day only getting worse by the minute, all I wanted to do was go home, fall on my bed and sleep.
According to the doctors, I wasn't supposed to do any strenuous activities that would make me exhausted which included walking long distance. I was going to use this chance to prove them wrong. To show them I can do it!
I can't do it!
I take back what I said earlier.
The ground swayed beneath me and I had to stop walking and stand still so I wouldn't fall over. I needed to rest or find some place to sit if I didn't want to pass out.
Stupid ground! Stop swaying! Hold still!
I was just about to give up on the battle with the floor when a car pulled up beside me. When I looked up I saw him. You don't need to think twice before you know who 'him' was. My eyes narrowed but I didn't say a word, just waited for him to go.
"Need a ride?" Christian asked, the tinted window of his Benz rolling down.
Trying to show off! Sure you have a working, expensive, good car and I don't. Who cares!
I shook my head and did my best to stand up straight and pretend like nothing happened. OK, maybe I was being a little stupid but everything about him annoyed me for some reason and I just wanted him gone.
"Are you sure? You looked like you were going to fall" he said raising an eyebrow at me.
In your dreams! I was perfectly fine!
Well the floor seemed to disagree with me as it suddenly swayed again and the next second, I found myself on the floor. I muttered a curse under my breath as I sat up, my cheeks heating up in embarrassment as I glared at the floor.
Great! Just great! Of all times, why in front of him!
The car door opened and the next moment Christian was kneeling on the floor next to me. A groan escaped my mouth as I felt a sharp pain shoot through my head.
''Are you Ok?'' he asked offering me a hand but I pushed it away.
''Pitch Perfect'' I mumbled sarcastically as I managed to get up.
He either didn't hear that or he just chose to leave it or ignore it. Hopefully, it was the first or I have a feeling he won't rest Knowing that I could actually talk.
He moved to open the passenger door for me and looked at me expectantly. I let out sigh and moved towards the car where he was. Guess I really don't have much of a choice, do I? I could be stubborn but I wasn't trying to die.
Yet anyway or at least not on the road, that would be so embarrassing. He was useful for now.
I got into the car and shut the door before he could, I'm not some weak little princess that couldn't do anything for herself.
