Chapter 2: Training

I wake up after hearing a bang. I grab my loving katana that my grandfather made me when i was younger. I rush out in a white shirt and shorts. I look around to see my brother Jake messing around with his gun that our grandfather made for him.
"DONT MESS AROUND WITH THAT!! OUR GRANDFATHER MADE IT!" I yell extremely annoyed since i planned to sleep in. "he's the greatest blacksmith. Im sure it'll be fine if it got a little damaged" he says calmly but also in a not caring tone as i put one hand on my hip as the other holding the katanga. "also why do you have your katana?" he looks at the katana then me "i woke up from a bang that's why! What do you want me to do, cut your head off next time?!" i growl lightly but he can tell i was messing around. "want me to blow your brains out next time?!" he replys back playfully but in a challenging way. "pfft please im more likely to win if we fought" i laugh and walk off back into my room to put the katana on my bed as i see a note that was half out my pocket from yesterdays clothes.
<my number. From wendy? I guess she put it with the crystals without me knowing. I'll add it now while i remember. I'll text her later> i think as i add it to my phone and put it on my bed to get changed. "(Y/N)!! YOU HAVE TRAINING! YOU CANT SLACK OFF!!! YOU GOTTA GET READY FOR THE FIGHTING CONTEST TOMORROW!!! ITS GONNA BE A HUGE CROWD!!!" i sigh and grab a wooden katana from the sword stand i have "finally (y/n) Now give me your best shot!"

i nod as i run at my dad and go quickly behind him and strike at his back but as expected he blocked it on time. I roundhouse kicked his knee as he blocked but i quickly hit his other knee with the katana making him go onto his knees. I swiftly get on his back, wrapping myself around him like a snake that cought it's prey.
"ha! I win" i say proud of myself. "don't underestimate your opponent!" he says before grabbing me and throwing me into a cushioned wall "if this was a real battle you might of just died!" he says seriously. i nod and get back onto my feet.

We battle for hours until i cant even stand anymore. "you've definitely improved. Now tomorrow will be a battle to remember!" he says with a huge smile. "yeah but at least no one dies in this" i say with a smile as i put the sword back. "im sure you'll win!" he says with pride as always since i haven't lost any yet. "take a nap and get food and stuff. Your mother wants you too study and continue being a full A student." i nod again and sigh annoyed since the family has full hope in me and my brother and not the others since they let them slack off. I walk to where we study and as usual a bunch of books piled up. "did you not go and take a nap or anything?" my mum asks me as i shake my head "rather study then do all that" i say as i sit down and study my usual. After a few hours i leave and take a nap after being drained of energy.

I was sitting on a log with a dipper until mabel ran over screaming. "mabel??" me and dipper asked as mabel held tickets "uuh tickets?" i asked confused. "i got these tickets for the event thing thats gonna happen tomorrow! Its huge! Battles will go off, tho and i got 2 extra tickets. So you and dipper wanna come?? it'll be fun~" she says with a huge grin on her face. "sure i have nothing to do tomorrow anyways. You tagging in dipper?" i asked him curiously "uuh yeah sure" he says rubbing the back of his neck. "it'll be in the forest. There's this Arena and im 100% sure it'll be full!!" she jumps around a little as she gives me a ticket. I take the ticket and put it in a pocket as i get on my bike and puts a helmet on. "sweet! Well i guess we'll meet there! See ya!" i ride off home since it was getting late.

I wake up feeling nervous about the up coming fight and i take my phone that was beside me and i decide to text Wendy to see if she was up.

some sleep.

I turn my phone off and put it back where it was. I lay down smiling again and soon drifting off to sleep.
