The elephant -- which had come out of the Silent Valley in search of food and wandered close to villages -- had eaten a fruit stuffed with firecrackers. The elephant, with her insides ripped, tongue and mouth injured, had wandered around for days before walking into the Velliyar river in Palakkad district, where she died in a standing position.The elephant had chewed on an explosive-stuffed pineapple that went off in its mouth. The injured animal stood in Velliyar River, where it died on May 27 at Thiruvizhamkunnu forest section in Kottopadam grama panchayat.
After hearing this news it's very sad that in this 21st century humanity doesn't exist anymore.(｡•́︿•̀｡) Such criminals acts against innocent animals no different than acts of meditate murder against other human.
