Chapter 59

Melt

I've been asking myself why among the Disney princesses, Elsa was my favorite. Was it because she's the Queen? She's powerful, elegant, and fearless, characters that made her different from the others, or maybe because her story didn't focus on a prince destined to save her.

She's her kingdom's ruler, sought to be obeyed, destined to be on the throne, and someone who couldn't show weakness but a source of strength.

She was pictured to be almost as perfect, but as the story continued to unfold, as Elsa started to pursue her journey, it made me realized that a life's conflict wasn't just all about the enemies, because it will always start with you, to your own monsters.

I don't know if it was because of my intense love for Disney stories that it made me compare with the man I loved. He's always tough, intimidating, and formidable.

But as I tried to melt him, after his years of coating it with thick ice just like a snowman, all I wanted was to hug him tight the moment I saw his vulnerability.

He's too fragile.

At ilang taon niya iyong dinala ng mag-isa.

Yes, his brother was there beside him. But just like Elsa, he wanted to take care of Anna rather than being taken over by her little sister.

If Leviathan was famous for its beach and resorts, the province of Enamel was always proud of our gardens and forests.

A beautiful hill with a mysterious tree on top of it.

The sunlight, morning breeze, rustling leaves, and dancing flower petals will always be my tranquility. No matter how I loved my sister's company, my mother's soothing words, and Keaton's kisses, I will always find time to be alone.

Gusto kong mag-isa, hindi dahil luluha ako at may gustong pagtaguan, kundi dahil gusto kong yakapin ang sarili kong katahimik.

At last... I couldn't hear any painful noise.

This tree had witnessed our first heartache.

"Will you allow me to wash those memories?
