"Because of the..." I started but then trailed off.
"Yeah."
I looked down and asked in an ashamed tone, "So he knows about how I pretty much trapped you in the apartment?" Aizawa nodded his head. "I'm sorry."
"It's alright. Don't worry about it at all, really. I'm fine, so it doesn't matter."
I then asked in a sheepish tone, "So...he heard everything?"
"Yeah," he paused, "Now that I think of it, he said that you were muttering 'shut up' over and over again as you sounded like you hit something on the wall repeatedly." I nodded my head, not wanting to answer. "What were you doing?"
I was reluctant to say, so I mumbled, "I was hitting my head against the wall as I was telling the voice in my head to shut up."
"Just ignore it." he said simply.
I looked up, "I can't and you know that."
"Right, it's that thing that makes you do things without your control." he said in a tone that said he was going with what I said, which I then nodded my head again. He sighed, "Well anyways, Hizashi said that he's sorry that he isn't able to rebound from this faster...and he's also sorry that he got hurt, so he'll tell you it himself; don't tell him I said anything though." he paused and looked down for a bit before looking to Yamada, who was still sleeping, then went on, "He pushed me out of the way...It wasn't your fault that he got hurt...it was mine. If I wasn't standing there being so ignorant, I wouldn't have been in dangers way." He quickly looked to me, "I know that you're going to say that it wasn't my fault and that it was yours since you could have stopped it before anything happened, but I was the one who he was protecting that caused him to get hurt. We're both going to have to accept the facts that we-" he cut himself off; I could tell that he was beating himself up too.
"We don't have to accept it. Neither of us were the one who sent the piece of debris flying; it was the criminal. Yes, we could have prevented it, but it wasn't our doing that caused harm." I said, almost lying since I still felt like it was all entirely my fault. He looked to me with a surprised look as if he was shocked at what I had said. "You shouldn't be so hard on yourself either." He looked down and began to laugh as he shook his head. I tilted my head to one side and asked in a confused tone, "What?"
He continued to laugh for a little bit before he stopped and said with a smirk, "It's just that you're right; I never really thought you would be the one telling me that since I'm always telling you that."
"But it's true though." I said as I stood up and walked to my sketchbook and pencils. "Thanks for the blanket while I was sleeping."
"No problem. I hope you won't get too mad, but as I was moving your book, I looked at what you were drawing. You're really good at making it look realistic. Do you draw often?" he asked.
I put the tin of pencils in my right arm as I said, "Yeah, I do it a lot. I'm almost done with this book; I have a couple more pages left before I have to get a new one."
"Would it be alright if I look at the other ones that you've drawn?" he asked.
I held on tighter to the book as I thought about it. I turned around and began walking towards him, "I suppose; be careful to not smudge it since it's in pencil."
I held the book out with both hands, which he then took it, "I'll be careful." I turned around to go back to the sofa and sat down. He began to page through it slowly, taking his time to look at the intricate and detailed drawings. "I don't think I've ever seen your drawings before. I've seen your paintings before though, but not these."
