The milky rays of the moon washed through the Queen of Arendelle's chamber windows as she peacefully lay across her and her husband's cozy mattress. She giggled at the sight of the fire king's exhausted snores, burying herself deeper in his arms since she couldn't get enough of them.

They have less than a week to prepare before the war starts, and she wondered if there was a possible way to escape this dreadful reality, which clearly there wasn't.

The soft, steady breaths of the twins could be heard just a few yards away from them, her blue eyes filled to the brim with adoration as she laid her eyes on the fruits of her and Aiden's unpredictable love.

She peered over her husband's face, memorizing every inch of him. He always looked so beguiling, whatever the situation is. But his physical features were not the reason why she fell. Hard.

Her fingertips traced a stray lock of hair drooping on his cheek. The night was far from coming to an end; and she took a cursory look at the grandfather clock on the wall before retreating her eyes to her eternal lover.

She stood up from her spot on the bed, making a bee line for the door. She had business to discuss with her fellow spirit; this is to be taken seriously and it cannot simply be postponed.

She caressed his hair more before feeling a gentle yank from the skirt of her nightgown. Though bleary eyed, he could still sense what's left of her presence.

"Don't let me go." He murmured, his fist still tugging on her nightgown. She chuckled lowly before kneeling before his face and planting a kiss on his forehead, "Lover, I'm just going to go for a walk, I'll be back soon, okay?"

"... Okay."

She blew him another kiss before walking out of their private chambers completely, bowing curtly at a midnight patrolling guard. Most of the guards know that she usually goes on an evening walk at a time like this, so they are quite used to it.

"Your majesty, King Frederic has confirmed that he will send his admiral and his excess soldiers to us. I believe Prince Eugene is accompanying King Frederic with the assistance, too."

"Thank you for notifying me. You are dismissed."

"Good night, your majesty."

She continued her little trip for the castle gates, the memory of her snapping at her husband still fresh on her mind.

She didn't really mean to sound so loud and distressed, but everything was happening at once and at first, she didn't know how to handle it. The last thing she wanted to be was an overly calm optimist.

Her distant footsteps reached the doors leading to the courtyard. She pushed each tall door open before eyeing the tall gates which will always remain open.

As she walked further, she prayed mentally for Weselton to easily surrender. If back then she had known that the Duke had such malicious goals towards Arendelle, she would have never agreed to be Weselton's trade partner.

She finally got to the docks, where the calm waters of the fjord channeled more of her solitude.

The nearby ships rocked back and forth as the waves threw them all over the edge, the sea breeze blowing her French braid onto her back and away from her shoulder.

She softly sung the call; her powerful voice sending the water into ripples.

"Aah, aah~"

There was still no sign of her fellow water spirit friend.

"Aaah, aah~"

The majestic sea horse emerged from the flesh of the fjord, the Nøkk's glowing crystal-like eyes making contact with the Fifth Spirit's.

Elsa's blue eyes glowed in sync as her friend's, her power coursing through her veins caused by summoning.

"I haven't seen you in a long time, dearest friend," The Nøkk greeted politely. Elsa acquiesced with a nod and a smile of her own, "I completely agree."

"Now, why have you summoned me, your grace?" he dutifully asked, bowing his Equestrian head, waiting for his friend's favor.

"My kingdom is in great danger because of a foreign Duke who had declared war upon us."

"Who is this foul man?" The Nøkk flared his nostrils in fury.

"I had just found out recently that the Duke of Weselton has created an abhor deal with a treacherous councilman of mine," Elsa tried her best to not sound so disgusted, "And now... War will come at sea."

The Nøkk gave a solemn, understanding look. "It is not my first time to witness a war on my home. Some humans are vile creatures."

"I will forever be in debt to you if you do me one more favor. I cannot risk my kingdom's safety," Elsa folded her arms to herself, biting her lip nervously.

"I am ready to help you," The water horse vowed, "Anytime. Tell me what I have to do, whatever your favor will be, it will be an easy task for me. I have complete control over the seven seas."

Elsa felt great gratitude swell in her chest.

"Is it possible for you to form walls— barriers of water to surround my entire kingdom?"

"Of course. But how will they become rigid to be called walls?"

"I will freeze them in place. I will summon you once you must do it, we just have to wait a little longer. Once our battle ships exit the port, we can finally build the frozen barriers."

"Is that all, your grace?" The Nøkk questioned.

"That is all. I am forever in debt to you, dearest friend. If there's anything I can do for you, or the other spirits, I am just right here."

"You are most welcome, Elsa. You are one wise queen, Arendelle shall forever immortalize your hard work and efforts for the greater good."

Elsa blushed profusely at the water spirit's words, "I... Thank you. I will always do what is best for the kingdom. Until then, dearest friend."

The Nøkk flashed her one last smile before mastering up a strong neigh. The majestic water spirit galloped away, leaving small trails of waves before his hooves.

A loud bang on the door disrupted the King of Arendelle's deep sleep, the ice queen's head bolting up in alarm to such a crude noise.

"Your majesties, the Admiral, the Captain, the General, the Lieutenant, your uncle, the prince of Corona and the King of the Northern Isles would like to have a word with you both."

Elsa's blue eyes widened in panic at the amount of names Kai had addressed, before breaking into a dash for the bathroom. Aiden rubbed his eyes groggily before following suit, yelling a very faint "We'll be there!" To the sighing head butler.

"Queen Elsa, your brother in law and your father are also already in the discussion room. Yours and the King's presence are widely requested."
