(Jeremy enters, carrying the shoebox. He acts cold.)
Mr. Heere (spoken)
Where do you think you're going, Private?
Jeremy (spoken)
The play?
Mr. Heere (spoken)
What play? You're in a play? 
"You didn't tell him? It's an honour to be in the play!" Christine exclaimed.
"My SQUIP made me ignore dad. It wasn't my fault." Jeremy said harshly. Michael put a hand on his shoulder.
Did you borrow my car on Halloween?
"Ohhh! You're buthted!" Rich shouted, soon getting a light punch from Jake.
The SQUIP (spoken)
Disdainful denial.
Jeremy (spoken)
I don't know what you're talking about..
Mr. Heere (spoken)
Then I guess I should blame the car elves.
Jeremy (spoken)
Do whatever you want.
Jeremy looked down in his lap.
(Jeremy starts to leave.)
Mr. Heere (spoken)
Did you take it to the party?
The SQUIP (spoken)
Wait.
Mr. Heere (spoken)
I'm worried about you! You come and go all hours doing god knows what, wearing these new clothes... what is going on with you?
"He has an evil tiktac in his brain!" Brooke yelled.
The SQUIP (spoken)
Tell him the truth.
Jeremy (spoken)
I took a pill-sized pill supercomputer called a SQUIP that's in my brain, and it talks to me, and it's made everything better!
"I'm sorry Jeremy, I should've believed you." 
"Mr. Heere, I wouldn't have believed him either." Chloe said, trying to comfort him.
Mr. Heere (spoken)
If you're not going to take me seriously-
Jeremy (spoken)
Why should I?
Mr. Heere (spoken)
Excuse me?
Jeremy (spoken)
I'm supposed to believe you care? Look in the mirror! 
Jeremy felt a lump in his throat form.
Ever since Mom left, you sit around like you're waiting for her to come back! If she did, you know what she'd find? 
"Dad, I'm so s-sorry." Jeremy said through tears. Michael put an arm around his boyfriend to calm him down.
A loser who's so afraid  to have a life, he can't even put his PANTS ON!!
'So Loser is his main insult. Okay.' Michael thought.
Mr. Heere (spoken)
I could ground you.
Jeremy (spoken)
I don't think you could. Good talk. 
Everyone felt the tension in the room.
