I woke up in a different room. I knew this because the first thing that I noticed was that the door was not shattered to pieces; it was also covered in a shimmering yellow powder. Damn it, they put gold on the door! I cursed silently, now I have to break the walls. I did the same as last time, tapping the walls to check their thickness. They never completely learn do they? I thought with a grim happiness as I guessed the walls to be twelve inches thick again. I looked around, searching for something to break the necklace; a knife, scissors, some kind of blade. I found a knife hidden under the bed, just in case they were attacked without warning I assumed. I quickly cut the necklace off and immediately I felt myself gain more strength.

I pressed my hands against the wall and concentrated on summoning all of my fyre to burn the wall, so that I would be able to kick it in. At first the wall burned slowly, but as the flames grew it started to burn quicker, then finally I called all of my fyre back to me and I jumped at the wall, kicking the charred brick down creating a hole that I was able to walk through. I found myself walking through another hallway, but this time I could see support beams running across the ceiling. Good, I'm on the top floor I thought, now to punch out the roof so that I can mist.

"Good, you're up." I spun around to see Zack standing behind me, leaning casually against the wall near the hole I just burned.

"Do me a favour, and beat yourself up so that I don't have to bother." I replied, casually shifting into a modest lunge position, ready to attack.

"Actually, I wanted to ask you about something, but could you do me a favour and get out of that stance first?"

"You recognise it?" I asked, stunned, only the adults at the institute and I knew about that stance. We had no name for it, but we knew that it came from Medieval Japan.

"Here at Olympus we learn all the fighting techniques and styles, but we never get much practice, so we're not perfect at every single one."

"Well, you are only human." I smirked.

"You are too."

"What do you want? I have an institute to get to."

"You aren't going anywhere. I was posted here as a guard to make sure that you didn't break down the door again. Instead of course you break down a wall." He started to walk closer.

"I'm not paying for anything I break by the way."

"Can I ask you my question now?"

"Fine, shoot."

"What do you know about me?" he was only a metre away, standing in front of me, but his question made me stay rooted to the spot. I didn't know much about him, but they all knew too much about me.

"You are part of an organisation that kidnaps innocent people like me, you know all kinds of fighting skills and techniques, but you are horrible at actually fighting, you have freakish eyes, and you are very annoying. Can I go now?" I never was one for long questions.

"No, I meant what do you know about me personally?"

"You look like a player, and you need to make out with something at least every twelve hours, and I think I could beat you in any fight if you didn't have the gold knife, but take your hand out of your pocket because I don't want to have to fight you." Was that description any better?

"We don't know why we have yellow eyes; we were just born with them. Some say that we are cursed. Doctors have tested our vision but our eyes were completely normal, except for the colour."

"No, duh." I say.

"I shouldn't be talking to you, but you remind me of Max too much. He was my best mate." He looked down with sad eyes.

"Did I kill him?" I asked, completely unfazed.

"Yes. You did."

"And you're not mad? You don't want to kill me?"

"No."

"Why?"

"Because I'm not a killer."

"And because you wouldn't be able to kill me."

He looked up, his face now stoic, and expressionless. "I just don't want to."

"I'm sorry I killed him. I don't want to cause anyone else pain. Come here." And I pulled him into a hug as the tears started.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry." I murmured soothingly.

"I guess I got over my anger, but not my sadness." He tried to grin.

"Get over this." I whispered, and touched his neck. Instantly, his body froze up, and he gave a startled cry as he fell to the floor, unable to move his body.

"What did you do to me?" He snarled, trying to move his legs.

"How much do you know about me?" I asked back.

"You can paralyse people?"

"Bingo" I smirk, "and now that you can't move your body you can't stop me from escaping."

"I trusted you!" he growled.

"Well, that sucks for you, doesn't it?"

"She's escaped! Help!" His shouts echoed through the hall, and I heard more shouts throughout the building as the yellow eyes were alerted of my escape.

"You will regret that!" I snarled and I kicked his head knocking him out. I hear other voices coming towards me from both ends of the hallway. Then I see the others coming at me, closing me in. I smile with deep satisfaction, as Grace scowls and runs at me. I dodge her kick, but then Tom comes up from behind me with a gold knife and barely scratches me, but that scratch is enough for me to start to feel weak, and I receive a punch to the head from Ben. Then I jump away from the group, and land on a support beam. I duck as Rachel throws her knife at me, instead she hits the sun roof, and I cover my head receiving small cuts on my arms, as small shards of glass rain down on me.

"Thank you. Bye!" I smile down at them and wink. Then at last, I misted back to the institute.
