Excuse any mistakes!
"What did you do?"
"It's really bad. Can you c-come pick m-me up?" She took several breaths, trying to calm herself down. The girls looked at me with concerned eyes.
I sighed. "Send me the address, Jordyn."
Deluna threw her head back, laughing bitterly. She was about to say something smart. This moment was proving them right but something about the tone of Jordyn's voice was strange. She didn't sound like herself and whatever she did I wasn't prepared for.
"Dee, stop it." Lana tried to stop her from laughing. I think she knew by my facial expression this wasn't the time for her antics.
"No, this is exactly what I mean! She's always in the way of us. We can't ever have a day to ourselves without the help reaching out."
"Watch it! Something is wrong, okay. I don't want to leave but I need to find out what's going on. I promise I will make it up to y'all. Please just give me some time to figure things out."
"Now you want us to play babysitter?"
"I didn't ask you-" I had to refrain myself from slapping the hell out of her. She was pissed and I completely understood why but that didn't give her the right to be disrespectful. "Let's go."
"It's okay." Lana spoke grabbing my hand. That small action made me feel like I was failing them.
I grabbed my keys and called out for Lavender. The tension was thick as we drove in silence. I dropped the girls off first then headed towards Karsyn's shop.
"Hey, Luna." His co-workers spoke as I held Lavender's hand walking towards Karsyn. His head snapped in my direction as confusion showered his face.
"What's going on? What are you doing here with her?"
"I need you to watch her while I make a run." He switched his clippers off and grabbed my arm, pulling me towards his office.
"What kind of run, Lu? You know I don't like her here with all these people around."
