You woke up in a new room. It looked like a bedroom that belonged in either Todoroki or Yaoyorozu's house. You had been tucked comfortably into a bed. It had silk sheets that were just the right temperature. Slowly, you got out of bed and stood up, making your way over to the door. You gripped the handle and hesitantly opened the door, peeking out.

Todoroki sat in a plush chair, reading a book. He looked up. "Princess, you're awake!" He said, sounding almost excited. His heart fluttered at the sight of you. "S-Shoto?" You stuttered. He stood up, making his way over to you. Gently, he took your hand. "I have something I want to show you." He replied, leading you to another room.

Once the two of you got there, you froze. The room was filled with ice sculptures. They looked so lifelike. "Ice sculptures...?" You asked, turning to look at one of them in more detail. Todoroki chuckled, smiling slightly. He leaned over to you. "Look closer." He whispered. You recognized it. It was the store clerk from your first date.

You were horrified. How did he? "They're not ice sculptures, sweetheart," Todoroki said. Looking around, you recognized even more people. A few of them were just people who had bumped into you or something. "W-What the...?" You muttered, backing into Todoroki by mistake. He gently placed his hand on your shoulder. "Do you like them? It took me a long time to learn how to do such detailed ice." He explained, gesturing to the dozens of 'sculptures'.

You shook in fear. "I..." You trailed off. Todoroki's face fell. "Do you not like them? I can get rid of them if you want. I can make you whatever you want! I've been practicing for a while, see?" He ranted, making a rose out of his ice. It was incredibly detailed and lifelike. When he tried to hand it to you, you took a step back. His heart seemed to split. His grip on the rose loosened and it shattered on the ground.

Tears threatened to fall from Todoroki's eyes. You trembled in fear. "Please, princess. Don't leave me! I-I need you!" He said, dropping to his knees and looking up at you. His pleading eyes sent a shiver down your spine. "I- ... I'll stay." You replied shakily. Todoroki's face lit up. He stood up and hugged you tightly, his happiness practically audible.

"Thank you, princess. You have no idea how much this means to me." Todoroki muttered, burying his face in the crook of your neck. Your face flushed to a light shade of pink. His breathing sent shivers down your spine. "I love you so much." He said, finally letting go of you. You smiled weakly, wishing that you could tell him the same.

Todoroki, although slightly clingy, had been treating you rather well. It was nothing like Midoriya and Bakugo, who had kept you hostage in the basement. He allowed you to roam almost the entire house. He made sure that you had time to yourself, and was kind enough to cook for you. It was something that you could get used to.

True to his word, Todoroki treated you like his personal princess. He respected your boundaries. If you told him to back up, he would. He would get extremely worried about you whenever he was away, though. It was almost cute. "Butterfly? Are you alright?" Todoroki asked, catching your attention.

You jumped slightly, smiling. "Yeah, I'm fine!" You replied. Todoroki looked away for a moment, likely thinking about something. "Oh. Okay, then." He said. He had a feeling that you were lying. Ignoring his gut feeling, he stood up. "I have some stuff to do. If you need anything at all, just call." He bent down and kissed your forehead, before leaving the room.

For a kidnapper, Todoroki was surprisingly gentle. Ever since his breakdown on the first day, he hadn't so much as raised his voice at you. It threw you off. You didn't know whether to trust him or to push him away. After all, he still did technically kidnap you. Shaking your head, you stood up. You made your way to the garden, located in the backyard. It was one of the only outdoor places that you were allowed to go to.

It had dozens of different flowers. The most vibrant ones, however, were the roses. There were only three colors. Red, white, and pink. You didn't know why, but those were the only ones that Todoroki grew. Well, you assumed that he grew them. You didn't actually know for sure. He never really talked about himself. Instead, he preferred to talk about you.

It was always about you. How pretty your smile was, your perfect eyes, really just anything about you. If anybody was a sweet-talker, it was Todoroki. Your hand graced one of the roses, feeling its soft petals. "There you are, princess." You heard him say from behind you. Turning around, you caught sight of him.

Todoroki's expression was always a hard one to read. Right now, he had his usual stoic face. However, it seemed softer than normal. He seemed relaxed. "Hey, Shoto." You replied, trying to make sure that your voice didn't shake. He took a seat on a nearby bench, gesturing for you to do the same. You sat down next to him. "I missed you." He mentioned, playing with your (H/C) hair.

"But... you were only gone for about half an hour." You replied, confused. Todoroki sighed contently. "I know." He said, turning to look at the flowers. The light made the scene seem so innocent. "I suppose I couldn't help it. You're just too perfect." He noted, staring at you with his heterochromatic eyes.

"No fair!"

"We can't take her, not yet. We're not joining their little war."

"Huh? Why not?!"

"Because."

"That's not an answer!"

"That's the only answer you're going to get, so shut up about it."

"Fine..."

"Thank goodness. You're way too loud."

"Hey!"
