Aftermath

Things slowly changed after Lex had been arrested. The world took over a year to finally come to the conclusion that Lex had brainwashed them all into thinking that aliens were bad. Laws weren't changed until people began to protest for equality. They had to do something after realizing how badly aliens were being mistreated and at the front of the lines was Lena. She met with world leaders and let them see the truth about aliens. That they weren't here to harm people, they came to Earth as refuges. Soon after, millions of aliens were released and those that ran any auction house that was run by Lex was arrested. They were the ones doing all the mistreatment. Using aliens for their benefit and not caring if they got hurt. Even after all those efforts to change the views of the world on aliens, it still took a lot of time for people to get used to the idea of aliens. 

Luthor Corp was absolutely destroyed after world leaders came to learn about the true intentions from Lex. Lena was lucky enough that she was able to save the company from going down under with the fact that people trusted her. They knew she wasn't like her brother and saw that she meant to correct his actions. She knew that Luthor Corp wouldn't be trusted again as a brand and felt the need to rebrand it as L-Corp. It would give her a fresh start and make the company complete hers. 

Her first order of business had been to fire those that worked to develop any device that were used to harm any aliens. Any gadget that had been under development was destroyed as well as any other blueprints to manufacture them. L-Corp was about saving people, not hurting them. Lena fired people in her company that she knew had mistreated aliens and had even given their information to the police. She might've not done anything in the past but she was also looking to correct her mistakes. Lena knew that she had a long way to go to make things right.

After the fight, they ended up discovering that you had been infected by the necklace that Lex had given you. It was destroyed and you were sad to see it go. Mainly because it was the only thing that you had that reminded you of Lena. Kara might be younger than you but she had prohibited you from going out until she was sure that you weren't seriously injured. 

You had come to learn from Kara that Lena was leading the efforts to help aliens have equality. It made you smile from being proud of her. She had always wanted to do good in the world and now she was going to have a chance to. 

You and Kara spent weeks catching up to each other. It was mainly Kara talking about her life on earth while you listened to her go into details about everything. You hadn't realized how much you had missed Kara and it made you upset that you weren't there to see her grow up. She was your little sister that you were sent to protect and you had failed. The only thing that made you feel better was the fact that she had been taken in by a loving family. 

As much as you enjoyed spending time with Kara, you were itching to get back with Lena. You couldn't even remember when the two of you had a normal conversation that didn't include the both of you thinking you were never going to see each other again. If you were counting right, it had been close to a year since you had last seen her at that warehouse. You should've never left her behind. 

"When can we go see Lena?"

"(y/n), it's not safe. You need to wait until Alex tells us its clear."

You would have gone on your own but you weren't even sure where to find her. 

"You told me that aliens are free now. How safer can it get?"

"I meant for Lena, (y/n). Her life has been in danger ever since she started speaking out for aliens."

"What do you mean that her life has been in danger?"

Kara looks towards the side, pretending Alex was calling her. 

"Kara, I have super hearing too. Alex is not calling you. Now explain to mean about what you meant that her life is in danger."

"It...it's just that not a lot of people are happy about giving alien rights. It's possible that she's had a few attempts on her life."

"KARA! WHAT THE HELL?!"

Kara winces at your loud yells. 

"Don't worry, she's in good hands. Alex has been keeping tabs on her. Sending agents and making sure that she's never alone."

"I don't care if she's been keeping tabs on her. I want to see her. I want to protect her."

"You're still recovering from the fight. I don't think it's a good idea."

"Kara, please...I can't lose Lena."

Kara bites her lips and debates with herself as to whether or not to take you with Lena. 

"Okay but we're not flying. We're going to long route and driving over. Alex is going to kill me if she finds out that I'm taking you to see Lena."

"She won't. Now lets go. I need to see her."
