Willa had always adored Cordelia Carstairs, the red head holding a special place in her heart since the day she first heard about her from Lucie. Much like Willa cared for Matthew because he was James' parabatai, she had instantly grown respect for the young girl who was to be Lucie's parabatai once they had gone through some training.

She wasn't particularly close to the girl seeing as Willa spent most of her time by her twin's side or with the rest of the Merry Thieves, but they had been around each other enough to consider each other friends. Cordelia made Lucie happy and Willa adored her for that. That's why Willa was excited about the prospect of the red head coming to live in London, even if it meant her brother Alastair was to come as well.

The Herondale family had a connection with the Carstairs since Will's parabatai had been Jem, so the Herondales had taken it upon themselves to meet the Carstairs when they were going to arrive at their house at 102 Cornwall Gardens as soon as they got to London. That's how the Herondales ended up standing on the front steps of the Carstairs' home, the five of them having been standing there for ten extra minutes than necessary due to not only Lucie's excitement but their father's as well.

Willa stood beside James with the beginnings of a smile as she watched Lucie nervously bounce on her feet. It was obvious she was trying to keep herself together, but the young girl was just so excited to see her best friend and Willa couldn't help but think back to how she had been the same way when Thomas returned from Madrid.

Willa let her hands run over the sky blue material as she tried to flatten her dress. As she did, she felt a delicate touch near her ear and turned to see her mother Tessa smiling at her as she tucked one of her dark locks behind her ear.

Willa couldn't help but smile back at her mother as she let her eyes graze over the woman's face. It was always quite odd to look at Tessa who seemed to be around the same age as her. She was immortal, a warlock and a shape-shifter, and she did not age anymore.

Willa had always wondered how her mother felt knowing that she could never age while the rest of the Herondales would, but she made sure never to question her for she knew immortality was not only a gift but a burden that her mother would have to wear for who knows how long.

Tessa smiled warmly at her daughter, but their gaze didn't last long for Lucie was suddenly exclaiming, "There they are!"

Willa turned to find that Lucie was correct for the Carstairs' carriage was currently being pulled down the street and she could see the flash of Cordelia's red hair from one of the windows. A small nudge to her side had the girl turning to see James grinning at her with an arm out.
