"Here we are."
Bee hears Jimin say, then she hears a door opening as he guides her inside. Her heart thumps hard against her chest, suddenly nervous at the thought of meeting new people. Usually her best friend would be there to introduce her to people at parties but now that she was alone, she could only depend on her new friend, Jimin.
"What's wrong?" He asks, sensing her uneasiness. "You're the one who wanted this. There's no backing out now."
Bee pouts at him, clinging tightly to his arm as he leads the way. "I'm not backing out. I just-" she immediately gets cut off by a loud booming voice from across the room.
"Park jimin, is that you?" She hears someone call out. Before she could turn around and ditch the whole plan, Jimin leads her ahead. All she could see were blurry figures from a distance, but she could tell that all eyes were on her.
"Woah, Jimin. If you wanted some private time with your girl you could have at least told us." Bee heard someone else say and her cheeks flushed hot from embarrassment. Jimin splutters, tripping over his words in an attempt to explain to them about her presence.
"Hey, you're that girl from the other day." Bee sees a figure quickly moving up to her. His voice was very familiar to her.
"Bee, this is Taehyung." Jimin reluctantly introduces him to her, managing to send the innocent blonde man a spiteful glare.
"Oh, Hi Taehyung!" Bee immediately beams at the familiar person. Taehyung takes her hand and leads her to the the middle of the living room. The minute Bee is taken over by Taehyung, he could not help but be annoyed at the fact that Bee quickly clicked with the rest of the group. He wasn't upset that everyone had their attention on her; He was upset that her attention wasn't on him anymore.
Jimin looks on as Bee and Taehyung and the rest of the guys play with each other, making him feel like the odd one out. Sulking, he blows the hair out of his face and pretends to look through his phone instead.
"I recognised you by your hair colour" Bee tells Taehyung, giggling as she touches his hair.
"My hair colour? But I thought you were blind?" He asks her and Bee glances towards where Jimin was sitting. It looked like he wasn't paying attention at all and figured out that he was not going to help her out with the explaining, so she starts telling her story all over again with the rest of the boys listening to it intently.
The boys are acquainted to her quickly and Bee finds herself with a new group of friends. Bee couldn't remember the last time she had so much fun being around people. Most people would be too conservative, afraid to offend the "special needs" girl, but Jimin and his friends made her feel comfortable; like she belonged there. She had stayed for dinner and played a few games with Jungkook and Namjoon. Taehyung had shown her around the house with Jin showing off his Mario collection, of course. Hoseok had made her some snacks and Yoongi was indifferent with everything, as usual.
"Hey." Jimin finally speaks up, "It's late, shouldn't you be getting home?"
"Jimin is right. It's getting dark out there. You should be heading back. " Hoseok says, " We can send you home-"
"I'll send her home" Jimin cuts him off as he gets up from his seat. He walks to her side and pulls her up from the floor from where she was sitting. Bee looks up at him with a pout, but still gets up from the floor. Before she left, she made sure she said goodbye to everyone; promising them that she would come back again. Jimin didn't quite like the idea, but remained quiet as he stood behind her.
As soon as they left the place, Bee tugged onto his shirt, stopping him. "Jimin?" She called out. Her next sentence comes out a little hesitant, " Can I hold your hand?
Jimin suddenly feels like there's a roller coaster in his stomach. He decides to ask first, just to make sure that he's not getting the wrong idea. "Why?" He asks, his tone more cold than he wanted it to be.
"I can't see very well at night." She admits, and Jimins face fell. He could only manage to mentally laugh at himself for thinking something so stupid like a confession from someone like her.
"Well that's your problem." He spits out. Again, not meaning to be harsh as he should. He was just annoyed at the moment. Annoyed that she didn't seem to reciprocate the same feelings he had for her. For the first few seconds, Bee remains silent. Not that she could see his face that he wasn't at all angry; just very annoyed, but she seemed to get the hint and took a step back.
"I'm sorry. I don't know what I did to make you be like this." She started, "I thought we were cool with each other but you didn't even talk to me at all today."
"It didn't seem like you wanted to talk to me either! Besides, you got all the attention you wanted. You got a bunch of people to finally pity you and give you special treatment."
Both of them were taken aback by his words, and at this moment Jimin realised that he had fucked up, big time.
"You know what." Her voice faltered, choking on her tears, "I can walk myself home!" Before Jimin could even stop her, she tripped over her own feet and fell knee first onto the pavement.
"Bee! Are you ok?" He kneeled down to help her up but she quickly pushed him off, crying into her bleeding knees.
"Go away!" She cried. Jimin sighed and sat there while waiting for her to calm down. "I actually thought I made some friends today. I actually thought I wouldn't be so lonely anymore." She sobs. "I thought.. that you actually liked me."
Jimin just sits there. Shocked by her words but more so ashamed of himself. All this while, he had only been thinking about himself. He didn't even think about how she would feel.
"If you didn't like me then you could have just told me earlier. I wouldn't have bothered you in the first place." She sniffles and wipes her tears. Jimin follows her as she gets up from the ground. "Don't follow me." She says to him and walks ahead. She was angry and felt humiliated by him. She wanted to believe that Jimin had feelings for her, just how she had feelings for him, but she must have been too full of herself. To think someone would actually fall in love with a pathetic blind girl.
Jimin lets out a loud sigh and takes her hand. "Don't be an idiot. I'm not letting you walk home alone. Come on." Bee is quiet as she lets him take the lead even though earlier she told him to leave her alone. "I'm sorry." He apologises after a few minutes of silence between the two. "I acted like a jerk to you. I'm sorry."
"You were." She sniffles and wipes her nose with the her sleeve. "You have to make it up to me before i accept your apology." Despite the demand, she holds onto his arm closely, feeling more secure with him around.
"You were a big fat jerk."
"Ok. I get it." Jimin lets out a sigh, relieved that they weren't fighting anymore.
This time Jimin gets to send her up to her apartment. She opens the door a little before stepping inside and turns to him. "Don't peek into my house you perv." Sticking out her tongue at him.
"Seriously why are you always trying to pick a fight with me." Jimin pinches her cheeks playfully and she lets out a tiny giggle. Weirdly the first thing that came to his mind was how soft they were. Without realising, his hands reach up to her face and wipes her tears. Her eyes were still red and puffy from crying and he was the one to blame.
"Again, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you." He unconsciously says and sees that bees face has suddenly turn red. He quickly pulls his hands away, just for a brief moment glad that she couldn't see that he was blushing just as hard as she was.
"Jimin?" Bee reaches out to hold his hand, as she looks up at him with a pink tint on her cheeks.
"Do you want to come in?"
