When I entered the library, there were hardly any people. The librarian who hardly took care of the library wasn't there...
But I saw someone new, someone who didn't belong to the few, including me, who always came here...
She was probably 17 or 18. She was sitting at the last desk in the library.
She looked up at me when I entered the library, I felt like I had encountered a fairy or someone magical! Her eyes were ocean blue. She was wearing a icy blue frock that complemented her skin tone. She had make up, not too much, not too light. Just the perfect look. An ethereal look... But her face was overflowing with trepidation..
Something felt very wrong....
I picked the book, "The Silence of the Lambs" ,and sat down at the desk ,facing the lass and continued to read from where I had left.
It felt like she was constantly looking at me, trying to grab my attention.
I couldn't resist the call and I looked up.She faltered up to a shelf, as my eyes followed her path...
She picked a book, "Book no. 666",
read it's cover...She did something with the book and peeped at me once or twice while doing so. This gave me assurance that she wanted me to look there. Right there, where she was...
Suddenly she looked at the door, a prominent expression of fear filled her face.
She dropped the book in its place and darted back to the desk..
Before I could turn to see who was there at the door, my phone rang..Ahh!! It was my mother!
I never informed her of leaving to the library. She must have freaked out.
Totally...I ran to the balcony and attended the call.
A few minutes later, when I was back, the girl wasn't at any part of the library. She had absquatulated ...
My conscience told me, "Pick Book no. 666! Go!!"
I opened on to the first page, it read, "The Shining" .
I just flipped through and it opened onto a page...I read through and...
Wh..wha..What!!?...
I dropped the book, tensed...
