Chapter 29

Lisa already filled the form for the baby. Everything was done. She only needed sleep, and so did Jennie. After Lisa put the baby in the crib, she sat at the bedside. "You should rest. I'll go home to get a few things, then I'll come back." Jennie's face immediately changed into a frown. "You're going to leave me here alone?" Jennie asked in her baby voice. Lisa raised her eyebrows and chuckled. She took ber frowning wife's hand and rubbed it gently. "I promise I'll come back. I need to buy a few things for Lauren and I have to check my company too." Lisa explained. The brunette still had her frown but nodded, understanding her wife. "Don't take too much time. I'll be waiting for you." Jennie said. Lisa smiled and gave a light peck to Jennie and her daughter before going away.

As soon as she got in her car, she glanced at the car's clock, and it was almost dawn. She doesn't have time for sleep, so she reminded herself to buy a cup of coffee later. The girl started her engine and drove away.

Jennie woke up as the sun from the outside touched her skin. She adjusted her sight to see clearly and then she sat up. She could still feel the pain but it was bearable. "Oh Jen, you're awake." A hand held her arm for support. She looked at the person and smiled. "Chaeng, when did you arrive?"

"A few minutes ago. Lisa had an important meeting so she told me to check on you. You should have seen her face earlier. She kept bragging about Lauren. Congratulation, by the way! I'm so happy for you!" The blonde squealed. Jennie laughed, and then she realized Jisoo wasn't there. "You came alone?" Rosé smiled and nodded. "Lisa came to our house earlier to fetch Jisoo. They are attending the same meeting." the girl explained. Jennie nodded and looked at her friend's tummy. "I can't wait to see your child soon." Jennie spoke with bright eyes. Rosé laughed and rubbed her seven months tummy. "I'll be here until the meeting ends. I don't have pretty much things to do at home, it's better I take care of you."

"Thank you, Rosé." the two smiled. They talked about random things until Rosé told something that was in her mind. "You know, I'm actually scared of giving birth. I'm scared that I can't be a good mother and Jisoo will leave me and--"

"Wow slow down, girl." Jennie laughed. "First of all, you are perfect enough to be a mother. Jisoo won't love you for no reasons, right?" Jennie asked. Rosé bit her lips and nodded. "Giving birth might not be easy, but trust me the result is worth it. Plus, with Jisoo whose very caring towards you, you'll be a very cute family." Jennie reassured as she hold the blonde's hand. Rosé was hesitant for a few second, but then she looked on the bright side, so she smiled.

A loud cry suddenly filled the room, making the two girl smile. Rosé stood up and took Lauren in her arm. She gave the baby to Jennie. Jennie swayed the baby but she kept crying, tehn the mother figured she was hungry. Rosé knowing the look on Jennie's face, she smiled and went out, giving some privacy to her friend.

Jennie didn't really know how to breastfeed, but she tried. At first the baby refused, then Lauren started sucking. Jennie felt relieve that it wasn't really hard. She had read about babies that couldn't drink mother's milk because of a few reasons. Luckily Lauren was an easy-going baby. She must have got that from her dada, Lisa. She smiled and sang a lullaby for Lauren.

Meanwhile,

"Let's work hard everyone. Dismiss." Everybody went out except Lisa who smiled as she read Chaeyoung's message.

'Jennie just finish breastfeeding your daughter. She really is as hungry as you always are.'

She replied a laughter emoji before gathering all her stuff and put it in her bag. She was busy zipping her bag when a knock was heard. The girl turned her head just to see her best buddy, Namjoon. She smiled and shook the guy's hand. "It's been a while. I heard that you already got your first bundle of joy. Congratulations!" Namjoon had a big smile, his cute dimples was visible. Lisa chuckled. "Thank you, Jonnie. I'm expecting maybe a little get-to-know with your soon girlfriend?" Lisa joked and patted his shoulder. The two laughed and got out of the meeting room together. "Thank you Namjoon, you've been with me for the past years. I was new in this company and you helped me a lot. You're like my brother, really."
