Cori took me to the local mall to find something nice to wear. I hadn't told her yet about exactly what it was that I was planning but she probably knew. It wasn't all that much after all.
I just wanted to have a nice, romantic dinner with Michael at the cottage in the woods. That place felt a little special to me. And Michael was special for me. And I just thought that he might appreciate the gesture.
"How about this white dress?" Cori asked as she held up a floor length white dress.
"We're not getting married, Cori," I grinned. Cori giggled.
"You're so lucky you found your mate," Cori said, "I really wish I could find mine."
"You will, Cori," I consoled her, "You'll find him when the time is right."
"I'm twenty six; the time is beyond perfect!" Cori said, sadly. She fiddled with a short yellow dress and turned towards me, "I really like this but the Alpha will be ruthless if he sees you in something this short."
"He won't like it, you're right." I spotted an emerald green dress. It was beautiful in its simplicity. I pulled it out of the rack and held it up for Cori to see.
"That one's perfect!" She exclaimed.
We paid for the green dress and Cori and I headed back. Cori drove me directly to the cottage.
She had agreed to help me decorate the cottage and cook so we had bought candles and all the ingredients for Chinese which Cori said was Michael's favorite.
I just hoped he wouldn't be too busy like he had been lately.

Everything looked more perfect that I had expected it to. Cori and I had lit up candles everywhere. She had also made chocolate souffles which she claimed was the only dessert she liked.
Can you come to the cottage now?
Since Michael and I had mated, we had formed the mind link that all mates usually did. It was easier knowing I would be able to reach him at all times. He wouldn't have to worry about me and I would not have to worry about him.
Right now?
I can wait, I told him
Are you planning to seduce me? I could hear the grin in Michael's voice. And I grinned to myself at the mere thought of him smiling.
Maybe...
I'll be right there, then.
I sighed, knowing there was a stupid grin on my face. There was so much that I felt for him; I couldn't even begin to explain it.
Running a hand through my flowing hair, I realized that I had planned to tie them up. I checked my reflection in the mirror and tied my hair up. I had always felt it looked better that way.
"You should leave them down," I heard Michael's silky voice behind me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled out the band that was holding my hair up with his other hand.
He ran his fingers slowly through my hair and then softly pushed aside the hair resting on my shoulder. He brushed his fingers ever so softly against my skin that I felt like my skin was on fire, in a good way.
He pressed his lips against his claim and flicked his tongue over it. I moaned in pleasure. He tightened his arms around my waist and pulled me against him tightly, almost like we were one and the same.
"I love you," he whispered, "you didn't have to do all this."
"I wanted to,"
He spun me around and bent down towards my lips.
