Chapter 3 : Cullen Gone

Stormy goes put side the next morning and sees the Jeep that Billy had promised her. She walks over and sees the keys in the ignition before quickly checking her wallet to double check to see if she still has a valid drivers license.

She does.

Stormy gets into the Jeep and throws her school bag into the passenger's seat before starting it up. The Jeep has a rumble to its engine, but it isn't as loud as Bella's truck. She licks her lips as she smiles before she pulls out of the driveway.

Stormy parks beside Evan's Nissan.

"You got it?" Sebastian gasps. "Nice."

Stormy nods and she looks toward the Cullens. She sees that Edward is gone. She meets Emmett's eyes and a smile immediately finds his face, Stormy's, too. Rosalie notices and she walks over, Sebastian is trying to get Evan to breathe.

"You're Stormy, right?" The breathtakingly gorgeous blonde asks, and Stormy nods. "I'm Rosalie."

"Hi," Stormy greets and she blushes. "I'm not used to people remembering me."

"Get used to it, Stormy," Rosalie muses. "You're unforgettable."

"I think you're our lucky charm," Sebastian says as Rosalie rejoins her family. "That is the second, SECOND member of that family that is spoken to you, Stormy Swan."

Stormy smiles and she sees Bella beside her truck. She looks at the Cullens' cars and she notices that Edward's Volvo is missing and looks kind of disappointed, like she was looking forward to seeing him for some reason. 

Stormy eventually turns away from her socially awkward sister and she enters the high school with Sebastian and Evan.

Stormy sits with Sebastian and Evan at a table with a lesbian couple they're friends with, Connie Bing and Rhonda Green. They seem to also like Stormy, and can't get over the fact Rosalie talked to her. Sebastian is a huge gossip; he's friends with Jessica Stanley, another gossip in Forks High School.

Connie is a light skinned girl who was born in Seattle, but raised here in Forks. Her parents are Donovan and Melissa Bing. Rhonda is a gorgeous female with dirty blonde hair with big curls, with some pretty hazel eyes while Connie's are a pretty shade of brown.

Emmett and Stormy end up meeting eyes again, even if he is sitting across the cafeteria. Their eyes seem drawn to each other, it makes Stormy's heart race. Connie notices Stormy's flushed face and she sees that she is maintaining eye contact with Emmett Cullen.

Connie gets Rhonda's attention and points it out, Rhonda grins before she gets Evan and Bash. (Bash is short for Sebastian).

"Told you, ladies," Bash muses, "Stormy is a good luck charm."

Stormy looks away from Emmett first and she takes a big bite of the burger she got from the lunch line, the food suddenly tasting good.

"Our girl's got it bad!" Evan muses. "But I think Emmett Cullen has got it bad, too." 

Stormy looks up and meets Emmett's eyes once again.

Once in her gym uniform, Stormy joins Evan and Bash on the gym floor. Emmett is stretching. He's in some gray sweat pants, and his muscles are bulging under the Grey T-shirt, and there are some nike tennis shoes on his feet.

"Hey, Stormy," Emmett greets as he jogs over. "Evan... Sebastian."

"Hi," Bash greets. "Bye." He grabs Evan's hand and drags him to their side of the junior volleyball next.

"I know we just met but can I take you out on a date on Friday?" Emmett asks in a nervous tone. "My mom wants to make us a picnic if you say yes."

"You really want to take me on a date?" She asks. "Me? Stormy Swan?"

"Yes, you, Stormy Swan," Emmett replies as he moves the weight off one foot to the other. "I want to take you on a picnic date on Friday."

"Okay," Stormy agrees.

"You know where the house is?" Emmett asks and Stormy nods, her dad told her. "Meet me there." He smirks down at the shorter human and he jogs to where the seniors are playing basketball.

"I can not believe you have a date with Emmett Cullen on Friday," Bash says as he sits on the Swan couch with Charlie and Evan, Stormy is sitting in the recliner.

"It's amazing!" Evan adds. "Emmett's the hottest guy in school."

"You guys staying for dinner?" Bella asks from the kitchen's doorway.

"We actually have to go," Evan says. "Bash's parents are expecting us for dinner. I'll see you tomorrow, Storm." Evan smooches her head befofe leaving with Bash.

"I like them," Charlie comments. "Now, about this date..."

"Emmett said he's taking me on a picnic with food Mrs. Cullen prepares," Stormy explains.

"As long as he's nice to you, Stormy Marisol," Charlie says and Bella says that the fish and fries are ready.

Stormy lays in her bed that night in a silk nightie that is revealing and it stops at her mid-thigh. She has her blankets pulled up to her chin as her mind wanders to Emmett Cullen. She really likes Emmett.

Stormy blushes to herself before she buries her face into her plush pillow.
