21 ~ Listen

I also know that you secretly love it when I play with your hair last thing at night and first thing in the morning and how you have to sleep on the right side of the bed because otherwise you wake up with the sun in your eyes. Which brings me onto my next point of how you don't like waking  up too early in the mornings (just like I don't).

I also know that despite how much you will deny it to everyone (including me) that deep down you love it when I play with the skin on your chest and stomach. I know because your muscles always contract and somehow relax even more, and when I find the right spot (an inch beneath your sternum) you'll let out a soft smile and close your eyes.

I hope that was enough to make you believe that it is really me, and not one of these slintheads that have sent you into The Maze.

Now for the more pressing matter, which I am sure you are extremely confused about. The new boy that has been sent up is called Thomas. He is one of my best friends and he, Elijah (before he was sent into The Maze) and I devised this plan to get you all out of this shithole. So bub, I need you to take the serums from Thomas' pockets and inject him with one and Elijah with the other one.

The serum is a memory filling one, which means they will pass out for a while before waking up with hopefully all their memories back again. Then, they can tell you the plan and get you out of there.

I need you to listen to them, Newt. I need you to believe in them because I will be waiting for  you a couple hundred meters beyond the exit ready to get us all out of this place.

With all my heart, I pray everything will be fine and in a mere few hours you can read the second letter I wrote you. But when you do, make sure to be alone in the hut for me.

Newt looks up from his letter and places a hand over his mouth to stifle the strangled laugh as he nodded his head to Alby. "It's her..." He chuckles, using his hand to wipe away the tears that were forming in his eyes now.

Alby smiles at the boy and opens his own letter, knowing that Dani is smart enough to be telling him everything he should know. It was weird to him, how much he had come to trust this girl even when she got on his nerves a lot with Minho.

If you haven't already, get Newt to read his first letter before continuing your own. That way I know you'll believe it's actually me.

So now that you know it's me too, I need you to trust me Alby. I know that I'm a great pain-in-your-ass most of the damn time, but right now I really need you to trust in me because it really does matter about the quality of your life now. The Greenie that has just come up in the box is called Thomas. He, Elijah (before he was sent into the Maze) and I have devised a plan to get you out of there and it all relies on them remembering everything.

I have told Newt how to give them back their memories, so now I just need to tell you that everything Thomas will tell you is true. I was the one to put him in the box before he came up to you guys, so I know he hasn't had someone get into his head. Everything he will tell you is true, and we have thought about every other possible way of getting you guys out, but it physically  isn't possible without risking any more lives than we already are.
