- (Y/N)'s POV -
Elsa: "Are you ready!?"
I look on as Elsa gets ready to create the ice rink for the people of Arendelle. I took a moment to appreciate that the people of Arendelle are no longer afraid of Elsa's powers, granted it did take them a while to fully comprehend but they did warm up to her eventually once again. These past couple of days has felt like an eternity, but now I am sure the dark times has passed. I look down as the ice from Elsa has spread past me, giving me skates in the process.
Me: "Wow that was pretty cool."
Elsa chuckled at my pun and walked closer to me.
Elsa: "You know (Y/N), this wouldn't have been possible without your help and I just wanna thank you. You showed me that my power can be used for good and that I shouldn't be scared of it. I am glad that I have met you and that I hope you will continue to support me in the future."
I scratch the back of my head, embarrassed at what Elsa just admitted to me. I never thought that I would have done so much for the Queen of Arendelle. If you told me this a week ago, I would've called you crazy.
Me: "In all honesty, I am glad that I met you too. You've... changed my life for the better with what you've done for me. So I should be thanking you for what you've been doing for me."
While everyone was recovering these past few days. Elsa has offered me a place to stay within the castle, also extending the invitation to Kristoff which we both happily accepted. She made Kristoff the Ice Master and for me, I became her personal bodyguard. Granted I needed training, but this was a new path in life for me. With Elsa's help, I can find those that killed my parents and bring them to justice, which right now, is my goal in life.
I looked down at Elsa smiling at me. She got closer to me and grabbed my hands.
Elsa: "Well what are you just standing there for? Lets go skate!"
Elsa stars spinning around and lets go of me, causing me to skate right into the brick wall. Did I forget to mention that I don't know how to skate? Well I don't know how to skate. I try and get up and slip again, causing me to fall on my butt. Elsa skates to me and grabs a hold of my arm as I try to get up. Elsa looks at me with a worried face.
Elsa: "(Y/N)! I am so sorry! I thought you knew how to skate seeing as you sell ice for a living!"
Me: "Yeah I find it ironic, but its fine Elsa, you didn't know."
Elsa: "Is there anything I can do to make it up to you??"
Me: "You don't have to do anything... but... I wouldn't mind one thing..."
I hope she says yes or this is going to be super embarrassing. Not gonna lie, I have been attracted to Elsa since day 1. I thought she was the most beautiful girl I have ever seen and I wanted to get to know her more. Granted its only been a week, but it seemed like an eternity. We had a lot of great moments and just maybe...
Elsa: "What is it? As Queen I'll see it through personally."
I chuckle and cup her hands. As we stare into each other's eyes I make my request. God please, say yes.
Me: "Elsa, will you go on a date with me? I've liked you since I first met you and I want to be there for you."
Elsa's face goes into a shock. She looks away from me and stares at the ground. Maybe I've made a mistake, crap I messed up!
Elsa: "(Y/N)... I think you're a great guy and all, but I don't know. I don't want to make the same mistake as Anna and I hope you understand that. We've only known each other for a week, yes we had fun, but it could easily be a mirage. I am not saying I don't trust you because I do, I'm just saying that I don't know."
Damn I just got rejected but I do understand where she is coming from. I cup Elsa's chin to make her look up to me. We stare into each other's eyes once again. I don't know what to say, but I am going to go with my heart and gut.
Me: "I get it, I do. Don't feel bad, everything takes time."
Elsa: "On top of all of that, I do like you back (Y/N). I just don't know if its the right time. After all, the council might not like the idea of dating a non-royal. Maybe sometime in the future (Y/N)."
Me: "Maybe."
I look away from Elsa embarrassed, but before I could turn away she makes me look back at her and kisses me on the cheek.
Elsa: "But that doesn't mean we can't go on a date. How else are we supposed to get to know each other?"
Me: "Fair point. When do you want to go on our date?"
Elsa: "My schedule is pretty busy the next few days, maybe in a week? Within the next 24 hours I will have a final answer for you."
I nodded. It could've gone worse... but it could've gone a lot better. Man my emotions were all over the place there.
Me: "Anyways this was fun, I gotta go though. I was supposed to be at the training grounds within the next 5 minutes, so I will see you soon?"
Elsa: "Yes you will see me soon."
Me: "Can you get these skates off? I'd rather just slide through."
Elsa: "Oh right!"
She waves her hand and my skates disappeared. I thank her and I slid to the training grounds to meet my master.
Later...
I've heard that he was the best in the castle and that he taught the current captain of Arendelle's army. As I make my way, I see an old man, not too old, but old enough to be considered old. He was meditating with 2 wooden swords ahead of him. I walk up to him and he whips one of the wooden swords at me. I caught it and he charged at me. I dodge his attack and went for a hit on him. He easily deflects my attack and my forward momentum causes me to slip and fall on a knee as the old man lays his sword on my neck.
Old Man: "You have excellent reflexes. Yet you don't know how to act upon them. Don't even know how to wield a sword it seems either. No wonder why the Queen insisted on me helping you."
I look up at the old man. I sigh and push away his sword off my neck and stand up.
Me: "I know I am not a swordsman, but I asked the Queen to receive training because of my lack of skills and knowledge. I'm glad she saw that I needed a master and not a normal trainer."
The old man hums and walks around me, I continue to stare at him the best as I can without moving my body to face him.
Old Man: "I can see that you have a personal connection to the Queen herself. Do you perhaps, like her?"
I gulp, he wasn't wrong. There was no point in lying to him at all.
Me: "Yes I do care about Elsa and her well being. I am glad she gave me the title of her personal bodyguard. In order to fulfill that role, I need to learn from the best and I hope you are the best."
The old man smiles.
Old Man: "You remind me of myself when I was younger. I wanted to protect in the name of love. I will accept you as my pupil, but you will have to be dedicated to your training or I won't train you. Understand?"
I nod in understanding.
Me: "I accept the condition master...?"
Old Man: "You may call me Master Shifu."
Me: "That sounds oddly familiar..."
M. Shifu: "No it doesn't. Nobody in this universe has the same name as me."
