Chapter Nine:
Absolutely Not Slutty Moana

"It's Halloween bitches!" Leilani cheered, throwing her hands in the air as she spun in a circle. Lexi giggled, slipping the fake glasses onto her face. "How do I look?"

Lexi chuckled, "Moana, I see? Cute."

Leilani blushed, rolling her eyes as she flopped onto Lexi's bed. "I'm so ready for the party tonight! I'm gonna get.. so fucked up."

"Lani," Lexi spun herself around in the rolly chair, looking at her pointedly. "You promised to tone it down."

Leilani let out an overdramatic sigh. "Fine, fine! But only 'cause you're... so cute."

Lexi laughed, rolling her eyes as she stood from the seat. "We don't wanna be late, do we?"

"No-" The sound of the doorbell ringimg cut off Leilani's sentence. "Coming!"

Leilani stood, sliding her hand into Lexi's and intertwining their fingers before pulling her out of the room and down the stairs.

She raised her hand, readjusting the crown on her head as Lexi pulled the door open. Rue, Kat, and Jules stood on the other side, giving each other strange glances as they saw Leilani and Lexi's costumes.

"I'm Bob Ross!" Lexi said cheerfully, raising their intertwined hands. Jules swallowed, pursing her lips and nodding her head. "The painter.. from PBS?"

Kat nodded, sending her an awkward smile. "Cool.."

"And I'm Moana! From th-" Leilani tried to distract her friends from laughing at Lexi.

"Hey, creepy." Lexi's mom cut her sentence short. "The whole point of Halloween is to look attractive."

"She does!" Leilani defended, leaning close to Lexi so that only she would hear, "I'd fuck you."

"No, it's not." Lexi crossed her arms, her cheeks reddening from Leilani's comment.

"Oh, really? You do me a favor and count how many of your girl friends are dressed like fifty year old men. Report back to me." She challenged, taking a sip of her wine. "Leilani over here dressed as a slutty Disney character, isn't that right?"

Leilani shifted uncomfortably, looking down at her outfit. She didn't intend to be seen as the "slutty" version. She just wanted to go as Moana becuase she looked like the girl who voiced her.

"Is it too much?" Cassie's voice pulled her from her trance, causing her to look over.

"Absolutely not! Wow."

"Cassie! Lookin' fine as fuck, bitch!" Leilani cheered, sending a wink her way. "Damn."

Leilani giggled, leaning her head back as the warm alcohol slipped down her throat, burning until it hit her stomach. A warm tingly feeling spread from her belly button throughout her body as she slowly walked over to the couch where Lexi and Rue sat.

"Hey, beautiful." Leilani winked, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and resting her leg over hers.

Lexi grinned, planting a peck against her lips. "Hey."
