Chapter 14: Alpha Zander

I was so glad that I found out about Rachel before I claimed her as my mate. I can't have a mate that is revengeful and would kill another wolf's mate in the hopes that he would claim her. I walked up the stairs and then I smelled her. Peggy smelled so good. I was sitting with the other girls in the kitchen when I lifted my nose and sniffed. My mate is here. I can't have a mate. He won't want me. I am weak. The girls grinned. Your mate is here. I have to leave, he won't want a weak she-wolf like me for a mate. Then we heard the growl. Mate we heard. We turned and gasped.  You are my second chance mate and you will not run from me. But, I am a weak she-wolf.  I smelled my sister's scent. How is it that you have my sister's scent around you? 

Because I rejected her. She is not good enough to be the Luna of my pack. She is a revengeful woman, an abuser, someone who would kill to get what she wants. You, Peggy, will make a better Luna. I, Alpha Zander claim you, Peggy, as my mate. I accept your claim. Good because I was not going to let you get away from me. Let us go for a walk to get to know each other. I was shoved toward Alpha Zander by one of my friends. He took my hand and we walked to the door. I was still in shock. My sister's mate was also my mate. He rejected Rachel for me. 

My parents will not believe that I am Alpha Zander's second chance mate and he rejected their favorite daughter for me.  The daughter that the refused to believe was evil and chasing Alpha Cash. The daughter that they thought was Alpha Cash's real mate when we all knew she was not.  Alpha Zander said, Peggy, I want you to have a little revenge of your own. I want you to make your parents suffer a little bit. How? By putting them in their place. They are of lower rank then you are now. You are the mate of an Alpha. You are the Luna of my pack. And no one will abuse you again or they will suffer for it. 

Do you understand me, Peggy? Yes, Alpha. Zander, call me Zander. Alright, Zander, I said smiling at him.  I can't wait for my sister to meet you. She hated Rachel and she prayed that I would reject her. After what she did to Sara I had to reject your sister. I could not let her become my Luna. She would have abused my pack members unlike you. You will make the best Luna for my pack. I am so glad that the Moon Goddess made you my second chance mate. We sat on the swing holding hands. Now, I want my sister to take you shopping. You buy everything you need. You will no longer dress in hand me down clothes and clothes that don't fit you properly. 

I can't take your money, Zander. Our money and yes, you will. I will provide everything that you need as my Luna. I can afford anything you want. I have more than enough money. So don't worry about that. I have waited for the right mate since I was 16 years old. I hated the fact your sister was my mate.  But when I smelled you, and I saw how good you were to others even though you were treated bad I knew that you were perfect for me. But what about Rachel? She did not know as I covered my scent. I had to wait until she gave herself away and showed how far she would go to try and become a Luna. She couldn't wait for her real mate but you have. I waited for my mate. I never slept around as I wanted to come to my mate pure. 

I wanted my mate to be my first and I hoped that I would be my mates first and only one. Your sister is a slut. She did not wait for me. Just then a hand reached out and slapped my mate's face. I jumped up and growled. How dare you hit my mate I said looking at the woman and man standing in front of me. They both cowered down on their knees. But, she can't be your mate, Alpha Zander. Her sister is said to be your mate. I rejected Rachel. I can't have a mate who is a slut and tried to kill Sara, Alpha Cashs' mate. One who told everyone she was Alpha Cash's, real mate. A lier and manipulator. You shall be punished for slapping my Luna. Peggy is my second chance mate and you will respect her. 

But, she can't be. Peggy is a weak she-wolf. A slut. Peggy is pure. Do you think that I would not be able to smell any males scent on her? As for Rachel, I smelled at least five other males scent on her. She is a slut, unfit to be a Luna. For hitting my Luna you will be made Omega. Now get out of my sight before I kill you. I watched as her parents turned and ran across the yard. There where several pack members standing around who watched and heard everything.  I put my arms around Peggy and kissed her forhead. Never again will they touch you. If they try I will have their hand cut off.
