A Wind

23 4 2

Breathe and feel it breathe.

The lungs expand and then release

A gentle breeze within the breast,

A rush of life and peace and rest.

Break and feel it break

The fibers of the inmost core.

They split and shatter, leaving rent

A bleeding heart that's dead and spent.

Rush and feel it rush

To tear and heal, to break and build.

It gives and takes, and takes, and takes.

It builds and breaks... and breaks...

Pain breeds heroes.

Torn hearts grow.

Breathe and feel it breathe,

Breathing... breathing... breaking.
