I ran to my car in a hurry to leave. Did he really just do that? I thought. Did he really just hold my face like that? Oh my gosh why do I feel like this??
I opened my car door in a rush and sat down immediately, sighing while locking the doors. I watch as people walk in and out of the attraction. People walking out terrified and people walking in laughing with their friends. I look in my rearview mirror to see my face is a bright red. I tried to take steady breaths to calm myself down after experiencing that.
Ugh, it'll never work out between us anyway. He's a monster animatronic and I'm just a regular human. I shouldn't be thinking about this.
I drove home in a hurry to just shower and try not to think about Springtrap the best I could. I checked the time to see it was around 6:00 pm. I knew I still had hours left before I could go back to the attraction for work.
Once I got home, I put on (Favorite movie) to pass the time, but the thought of Springtrap and what he said to me before I left was eating at me. It's so hard to not think about him. Him and how strong he is, how tall he is, how sweet he can be, and... UGH! What am I thinking?
I held my head in my hands pondering this situation I'm in.
"Tonight," I began, talking to myself. "I won't make any moves towards him and just have a normal shift. Then I won't be thinking about him like this anymore!"
~~~~~~~~~~TIME SKIP~~~~~~~~~~~
Once I finished getting ready for work, I got in my car and took a deep breath, preparing myself for the oncoming hours.
Don't talk to him. You can do this, Y/N. You can do this.
I was barely paying any attention to the road, which was highly dangerous, but luckily there were no cars out. I was focusing on what I would do tonight and how to avoid him in the best ways. There's no way I'll even come close to him tonight!
As I pulled up to the attraction I saw Mike outside holding a cigarette in his mouth. Remembering what Springtrap said about him, I hesitated before coming out of my car.
As soon as he saw me, his eyes lit up.
"Hey Y/N!" he shouted coming closer to me.
"Hi, Mike," I responded shortly, but trying not to be rude. "Why are you still here?"
"Just wanted to make sure you're getting here safe, that's all."
I felt uncomfortable by what he said. I knew he was trying to flirt with me and he was good looking, but his presence was just unnerving.
"Oh, okay! Well, I'm here now and safe, so you can head back home now."
"Ah... you sure? I can stay the night to help you out with Springtrap if you want."
Now I sure am afraid of Springtrap as well as having a teensy crush on him, but I'd rather be alone with Springtrap than with Mike.
"Nope, that's okay! I'll be fine on my own. Thank you though."
"No problem. Have a good night!"
"You too."
He stared at me as I entered the building, not moving from his spot. I felt myself sweating while feeling his gaze on my back. Just leave already, I thought while shutting the door. As soon as I closed the door I heard footsteps outside leaving the building. I sighed in relief thinking that now I was safe, but just then I heard more footsteps. This time, they were inside with me, and getting louder.
I stood there silently just listening for a moment before actually moving towards the office. As I got closer, I saw a figure standing in the room from the window of the office. The figure was tall with bunny ears, a torn suit, and... oh no it's Springtrap.
I walked through the door to see his head shoot towards me. He was fiddling with the cameras it looked like. He must've gotten bored.
"Ah, you're finally back!" he exclaimed walking towards me a bit to talk to me.
"Yeah, hi." I said shortly back to him.
"I realized how boring this place can actually be when you're not here. Funny, it never occured to me until I met you."
I blushed at his statement a tiny bit and hid my face by looking down.
"Yeah, haha. Well, I gotta do my job, so why don't you head outta here."
"What? Why?" He seemed offended. It broke my heart slightly to hear his tone of words because I knew what I said upset him.
"It's just I have to do my job and you're supposed to kill me, so you have to do yours." I sat in my chair getting myself situated.
"So you don't want me in here?"
Those words broke me. I did want him in here. I so badly did, but I knew I shouldn't.
"Please, Springtrap. Just let me work." I said my voice cracking a bit as I did. Oh, I knew I shouldn't have said that. I want him here. Even if he's scary, I want him near me.
"Fine." He walked off.
The rest of the night was me trying to find him on the cameras, but I couldn't. I couldn't find him anywhere. It made me slightly worried, but also relieved to know that he probably wasn't near me which means I would have another night of staying alive.
I relaxed myself a bit in my chair when I looked to my left to see a phantom animatronic standing on a box of toys. It almost looked like a fox. I screamed and fell out of my chair as it came charging at me. I tried rebooting my ventilation system so I could properly breathe. As soon as I moved my hands towards the panel, a loud noise started blasting in my ears. It was distorted and inaudible, but almost sounded like walkie talkie static. I shut my eyes and sat on the floor with my hands over my ears and tears building in my eyes hoping for it to stop.
I was sitting down for what felt like hours, but was only a minute in reality before I could breathe again and the noise abruptly stopped. I shakily lifted my head up with tears running down my face and looked at the window in front of me.
Springtrap stood there staring at me with an annoyed and angry look plastered across his face.
"Springtrap...," I whispered while moving towards the window.
"There are ways to avoid them doing stuff like that you know," he said in a low tone.
"Thank you," I exhaled trying to hold back more tears. I wanted to cry in relief so badly, but I didn't want him to see me do that. I felt unsafe without him near me. I felt unsafe around him a well, but at least I'd be able to breathe correctly and not lose my hearing when he was around me. "Can you come back in here with me?"
"No," he replied quickly and sternly.
"Please..."
"No, I'm leaving to just 'let you work.'"
What he said stabbed through my chest. I can't believe I said that to him. He didn't even do anything wrong.
"No, wait!"
He walked off without looking at me. I was left alone again and it was only 2am.
I have to get him.
