After being able to get Hank on board for the case, we all hopped into his car and drove to the scene. Connor sat in the back while I sat in the front passenger seat with Hank driving of course. Hank was blaring metal music in the car, which caused Connor to stare at him weirdly and for me to just nod along since I already knew his taste.

Soon enough, Hank slowed down and parked on the side of the road, almost right in front of the house where the crime scene was. He turned off the car and turned towards both of us.

He pointed at Connor. "You wait here." He looked over at me. "(Y/N) Come with me. We won't be long." I nodded slightly as we opened our car doors.

"Whatever you say, Lieutenant" Connor responded, looking at Hank.

HANK

"F*cking-A, whatever I say..."

Hank stepped out of the car as I followed suit, mouthing a sorry to Connor before closing the door. There were multiple news reporters with umbrellas and raincoats, trying to protect themselves from the rain as their drones, who served as a light and camera, followed them around.

As we walked towards the house, a journalist came up to us, of course, trying to get the scoop.

"Joss Douglas, for Channel 16. Can you confirm that this is a homicide?"

Before I could say anything, not that I really wanted to, Hank grab my wrist gently and made me continue walking as he responded for the both of us, without even glancing at the man. "We're not confirming anything."

I heard quiet conversations from the small crowd that gathered in front of the house as we walked through them. Some curious and shocked while others were throwing insults at the DPD and even at the victim.

Hank finally let go of my wrist as we walked through the holographic police tape. He walked up to an officer close to the house and began talking to him. I slowly followed him until I heard a small commotion behind me.

"Androids are not permitted beyond this point."

I turned around to see the police officer guarding the holographic tape stopping Connor from taking any step closer. Knowing that Connor was just following his programming, I decided to step in to quickly settle this small issue.

"Don't worry, he's with me and Lieutenant Anderson" I explained to the officer.

He turned around and nodded at me. He dropped his arm and allowed Connor through. Hearing his name, Hank turned around as he saw Connor approaching me.

He scoffed. "What part of 'stay in the car' didn't you understand?"

Connor and I turned to walk towards Hank as Connor responded. "Your order contradicted my instructions, Lieutenant."

Hank glared at him. "You don't talk, you don't touch anything, and you stay outta my way, got it?"

"Got it."

What a great relationship they have.

My thoughts and their conversation were cut short by a man standing on the patio of the house.

"Evening, Hank! We were starting to think you weren't going to show..."

The man stepped down from the patio and approached the three of us as Hank responded.

"Yeah, that was the plan until these assholes found me." He gestured to Connor and me.

I rolled my eyes. This man.
